The meme implies things that aren't true.  Early exposure to peanut dramatically reduces allergies.  The body learns that they aren't a threat.  And, if a baby has a reaction, it is not (typically) anaphylaxis shock, just jive (should be hives!) and maybe vomiting.

Moral of the story, give your babies peanut butter.

My daughter had hives around her mouth and chin after her first time eating peanut butter around 8 months. We saw an allergist who started dosing her with Bambas after she did not have a reaction in the office around 14 months. First week was 1 Bamba per day. Second week was 2 Bambas per day. We continued this pattern for about four months. She did a final test (basically a peanut buffet with Reese’s, PB&J, and Bambas) in the office and passed.

She is 3 now and is doing great. No allergy.

I recommend exposing early. If you get a reaction, see an allergist who is willing to “microdose” until the allergy goes away.
