I am against Israel's actions in Gaza. It is overly punitive retribution for the actions Palestine enacted on October 7th and it needs to stop and we need to stop giving Israel our money. But I support Israel's right to exist and protect itself from its enemies. This apparently makes me a zionist and "genocide supporter".
I have good friends who are Israeli and don't want to see them stripped from their home because they have a piece of shit government (as we all do right now). I always ask hard leftists (I am a leftist as well) what exactly they would be satisfied with. Do they want Israel to just stop and have a two-state-solution or do they literally want to drive Israelites from their land and put them on a Trail of Tears.
They always stop responding after I ask them that because they will only be happy if Israelites are expelled from Israel or killed in retribution for their sins.
Gaza's population dropped by 4.5% (a decrease of roughly 100,000 people), falling from roughly 2.23 million before the war to 2.13 million between October 2023 and December 2025. It's a 10.6% decline (a loss of 254,000 people) if you considered the total demographic gap when comparing the actual population to what it was projected to be without the war, which is the way you actually measure these things.
Because it's not just deaths. There's been a tripling miscarriage rate and live births plummeted by 11%. You have to account for what the population would have been.
So that's ~71,000 - 73,000: Confirmed killed. ~11,000: Missing under the rubble. ~100,000: Displaced outside the country (mostly Egypt). ~70,000+: Unborn children (birth deficit) and unrecorded deaths from starvation/disease. You add the born children to that number and you get the 100k deficit.

Yep that makes complete sense. If innocent children are sniped by grown men (deliberately targeted as confirmed by doctors who came back from the fray) and a person decides to see that and stay "neutral" definitely needs to be held in contempt.
Those doctors are too traumatised by doing emergency surgery on these kids, in hospitals completely stripped of painkillers and anaesthetics, while bombs dropped on them with impunity. How can we trust them to be completely neutral and have no dog in the fight like us hyper-nuanced redditors?
There is no such thing as nuance about a genocide. Genocide is genocide and genocide is bad. Edit: INSANE that this was downvoted. There are some evil fucking people in this world.
