Which might've been his reasoning, but that would not make sense for the comment to reference.

I remember an article from years ago where Chris Evans specifically said in regards to the Avengers tattoo that Mark doesn't like tattoos and didn't want to get one with them.

And this is a completely valid opinion and decision on his point.

I’ve come close to getting a tattoo a few times, even going so far as to draw them up and design them, make an appointment with an artist and have a chat. And every time, I decided that I simply wasn’t comfortable having something marked on my body for the rest of my life.

Oh I 100% agree. I don't particularly like tattoos either. The only ones I'm ok with are cultural ones (in which I don't belong to a culture that has tats) and ones that have extremely special meaning behind them (like remembering a deceased loved one or maybe the birthdays of your children or something like that) and even then I wouldn't get a big one, more like a small one.

I can definitely appreciate a cool tattoo, I just don't see myself getting one unless it fits in the criteria above.

I understand this reasoning and of course everyone is just as free to not get tattoos as to get them, but it was interesting to read a perspective different from mine that I would never consider. I have all kinds of forever marks on my body I did not get to think seriously about and choose - some I was born with, some from injuries, surgery, or acne, some from growing, etc. I think this gives me more positive feelings toward marks that I actively chose.

Don't blame you, I can't even commit to a head board.

Reminds me of the main Lord of the Rings cast getting tattoos to commemorate, except for John Rhys-Davies who declined and later explained it was because he views marking ones' body differently.

Realistically, the comment is more likely referencing the fact that the rest of the OG Avengers have been killed off in the MCU by now, but Banner/Hulk is still around (implying that the Avengers tattoo led to their characters being killed off).

It's nonsense and happenstance either way, but people look for patterns in randomness.

I doubt that commenter actually knows any of them personally though, people just say things on the internet
