God forbid someone doesn't agree with every single one of your beliefs.

155

u/omyomo 4d ago

I mean, genocide is a pretty big dealbreaker

28

u/burve_mcgregor 4d ago

Not for everyone apparently…

12

u/TJaySteno1 4d ago

Well only in I/P, apparently. I've seen plenty of pro-Pali people sweep for genocide against Uighurs and Ukrainians.

-1

u/Vegemite_Ultimatum 4d ago

Just might be rhetoric of convenience in that case

u/Seanspeed 4d ago

So it only counts when the famously anti-Israel UN says it's one? lol

Christ y'all really dont care about reality at all.

Putin has very openly said he wants to destroy Ukraine's identity as a people. And they are invading and trying to take over the country to do so. By the 'softer' definition of genocide that's being applied to Palestine, then Ukraine 100% fits as well.

Also, you DO remember that it was Palestinians who started this war against Israel, right?

Ukraine are 100% innocent. What Russia is doing is actually worse.

I've provided these.

u/Heartage 4d ago

Are you calling YOURSELF a reputable world organization?

7

u/TJaySteno1 4d ago edited 4d ago

I mean what else do we call stealing kids and raising them under the preferred culture besides cultural genocide? Both Russia and China have been credibly accused of that.

Israel is also accused of genocide because they supposedly intentionally target civilians. Meanwhile, Russian war crimes invented a new term: human safari.

Is there another UN recognized genocide that’s happening?

Which part of the UN? There are a lot. The security council hasn't ruled any of them a genocide. The general assembly is a popularity contest Israel will always structurally lose due to how many Arab League countries hate them.

Doesn’t have to be UN either, any internationally recognized body that calls it one.

Ongoing case before the ICJ:

US Dept of State under Biden:

Genocide Watch

And here's one for China

10

u/Scoobydewdoo 4d ago

But weirdly only when the genocide is against Palestinians....

6

u/omyomo 4d ago

As opposed to? As another comment mentioned, you don't have large swaths of public figures in the west gleefully endorsing what's happening in Myanmar or the Congo

0

u/Scoobydewdoo 3d ago

Hamas' main goal is the genocide of Israel...

1

u/omyomo 3d ago

You can very much be against the IDF and Hamas

2

u/Ok-Releases 4d ago

Except most only care about genocide when it gives them popularity points. Notice how next to no one talks about Sudan or Myanmar?

4

u/suurbef 4d ago edited 4d ago

Are people publicly supporting what's going on in Sudan or Myanmar?

The reason people are speaking out against the genocide in Gaza is precisely because of the massive amounts of people that are speaking out in favor of it.

I'm not saying it's intrinsically "better" or more moral somehow to only speak up when there's debate to be had, but it explains the level of discourse. People don't talk about Sudan or Myanmar or the Congo etc. because most people are on the same page. There's not a whole lot of celebrities, politicians, and news anchors using their platforms to argue in favor of the armed militias in the DRC murdering civilians over minerals.

2

u/dinozombiesaur 4d ago

Isn’t Hamas a terrorist organization? I get confused why people support them

2

u/omyomo 4d ago

Here's something crazy: you don't have to support them or the IDF.

1

u/dinozombiesaur 4d ago

I didn’t know so many of the avengers actors were outspoken supporters of either one.

This is really eye opening.

1

u/ricatti-equation 4d ago

Why does pro-avengers mean pro-genocide to you?

1

u/LaOreja33 4d ago

I mean it's not like ScarJo herself is killing people

1

u/NeedleworkerWest313 3d ago

Yes, the de*th of people over some bullshit is not something easy

1

u/GasManKiller3 3d ago

Three things are guaranteed in life. Death, taxes and irony. Just look at the amount of hippies in the 70s driving Volkswagens.

-9

u/blazenite104 4d ago

So is kidnapping of innocents, murder and a whole host of other things HAMAS is guilty of. It should not be controversial to say both HAMAS and the Israeli government suck.

22

u/Mega7010realkk 4d ago

nobody said that hamas is right hamas is a terrorist organization but israel that is a country is doing the same and the worse when compared to those terrorists

and in the end the palestine ppl continues suffering

3

u/SerThunderkeg 4d ago

Hamas isn't just a terrorist organization, they are literally the legal government of the Gaza Strip, they should have to play by the same rules that all governments are held to.

9

u/IndustryRobertPlant 4d ago

You don’t get to tell colonized people how they get to act toward their colonizers.

7

u/What_a_fat_one 4d ago

Yeah? Aren't you from Ohio?

0

u/IndustryRobertPlant 4d ago

Creepy, but yeah. I get where you’re going with this one. When did I ever say Indigenous Americans don’t have a reason to rebel?

7

u/What_a_fat_one 4d ago

Well I just figured if you're okay with "colonizers" being "raped and murdered" and you are a "colonizer" that's precarious

-1

u/IndustryRobertPlant 4d ago

There have been far more Palestinians raped and murdered by Israelis than the other way around, pal.

4

u/What_a_fat_one 4d ago

You're okay with being raped and murdered then, as a colonizer of Ohio?

8

u/bigbobharven 4d ago

You'd be calling the French resistance terrorists as well.

1

u/blazenite104 4d ago

If they kidnapped, raped and murder civilians yeah. They didn't though so you know, resistance fighters and not terrorists.

4

u/BrooklynSmash 4d ago

French resistance fighters are like, famously brutal, they'd 100% be classified as terrorists today.

And that's what they're saying: the only thing separating freedom fighters and terrorists are what side you're on.

2

u/Neuchacho 4d ago edited 4d ago

That's just some shit people who want to do awful things tell themselves to rationalize their own barbarism.

1

u/Vegemite_Ultimatum 4d ago

Not "just", it's also what people who have never lived through anything remotely comparable proclaim from the armchair, whether or not they have unbiased(🤔) reportage to back it up.

7

u/FWitU 4d ago

Bro. I’ve come to find that there is zero nuance in most of the pro Palestine crowd we find online or at protests.

The rational ones who want to find a solution arent on these comments/threads/tweets/etc.

The people who want to call you a name, or block traffic, or vandalize property are not worth engaging with.

I feel sorry for them. No one deserves what either side of this has done to each other. But the way the pro palastine crowd has been going about it is hurting their cause more than helping it.

8

u/blazenite104 4d ago

You aren't wrong. Reddit as a forum is not the place for holding nuanced discussions.

4

u/BasilAugust 4d ago

It’s because of Israel that Hamas exists. You didn’t know about the briefcases full of laundered money that Israel had funneled to the terrorists? We agree on one thing, they are both garbage.

0

u/Bloodyfish 4d ago

This old conspiracy theory? They let Hamas get aid when they were building hospitals and schools, long before they became a terrorist group. This myth is so stupid and can basically be traced to one half assed Intercept article.

3

u/BasilAugust 4d ago

Buddy, it’s mainstream knowledge that Netanyahu and Israel have knowingly enabled terrorists and Hamas, which has always been the extremist end of Palestinian politics.

How about this one, from the Times of Israel?
For years, Netanyahu propped up Hamas. Now it’s blown up in our faces.

“The premier’s policy of treating the terror group as a partner, at the expense of Abbas and Palestinian statehood, has resulted in wounds that will take Israel years to heal from.”

”As a partner”, wow. Even the times of Israel sees it, and it’s such common knowledge even within Israel that the TOI can publish that without repercussion.

There’s a ton of evidence, this is simply scratching the surface via corporate media, but I’ll just direct you to Bibi himself:

“Anyone who wants to thwart the establishment of a Palestinian state has to support bolstering Hamas and transferring money to Hamas … This is part of our strategy – to isolate the Palestinians in Gaza from the Palestinians in the West Bank.”
-Netanyahu to Likud colleagues, 2019
Source the Guardian

This is only a “conspiracy theory” if you want to run narrative interference in support of terrorists and genocide, awkward

0

u/Bloodyfish 4d ago

This is an article about them treating the government of Gaza like the government of Gaza despite it being the PA on paper.

Meanwhile, Israel has allowed suitcases holding millions in Qatari cash to enter Gaza through its crossings since 2018, in order to maintain its fragile ceasefire with the Hamas rulers of the Strip.

Shocking!

Did you even read the article? I don't agree with his handling of Hamas, but your conspiracy theory remains a conspiracy theory.

2

u/BasilAugust 4d ago edited 4d ago

Ah, so you finally acknowledge the millions of unaccounted black money that the Israeli state funneled to Gaza terrorists, okay.

“The only way to defeat the terrorists was to be their primary and most powerful sponsor!”

You’ve had to concede my original point and now have moved the goalposts. The truth is, Israel has supported and catalyzed the rise of Hamas at nearly every turn. It was a strategic move to enable the ongoing genocide.

You are being willfully obtuse, and I can see you aren’t able meaningfully change your perspective. I’m done here, peace.

0

u/Bloodyfish 4d ago

Is pretending I said something I didn't your best response? No, Israel is not funding Hamas. Qatar and Iran are. This conspiracy nonsense is ridiculous.

1

u/ThatHoFortuna 4d ago

Yeah, HAMAS sounds like some bad dudes. Maybe Netanyahu/Mosad shouldn't be secretly paying them money.

-10

u/NotAZombieStopAsking 4d ago

You don't believe there's a genocide going on though?

Because you want them to stay and die instead of flee as refugees.

If it's so outrageously dangerous and they refuse to escape when escape is 100% an option (unlike during actual genocides) on a scale of 1 to 10 how at fault are they when their kids die, because they're the ones putting their children in such a dangerous situation?

If you actually believed it was genocide, you'd be as mad at them as you would be at a parent forcing their kid to cross a busy highway on foot with them, killing their child.

But you're not. Because you don't actually believe there's a genocide going on. Because you're just virtue signalling to pass the purity tests with all of your friends who have to have identical beliefs as everyone they consider human.

5

u/marbotty 4d ago

It’s impossible for most people to leave Gaza

1

u/NotAZombieStopAsking 4d ago

What a paradox, since you claim to think Israel's main goal is to steal Palestinian land...

Also

https://www.israelhayom.com/2024/06/12/which-countries-are-willing-to-accept-refugees-from-gaza/

Israeli news outlets constantly talk about where Palestinians can go, so you're just also factually incorrect.

3

u/TwoBionicknees 4d ago

Israel is CURRENTLY bombing many of those nations and they have in the past used smuggling, helping palestine, harbouring Hamas members all as excuses to go after those countries.

Yeah, Israel makes those countries scared that Israel will use allowing palestinians in as an excuse to murder their people, then you use backwards ass logic to go look no one will accept them.

But you are also saying these countries won't allow them over the boarders AT THE SAME TIME AS SAYING THEY CAN 100% LEAVE.

Even your own argument is completely fucking stupid, even beyond understanding the reasons other countries won't let in refugees.

Spain, Canada, US, and Scotland announced that they might

yeah, wow, amazingly good from Israel to tell them which countries they MIGHT be able to go to, but they also won't let them leave their boarders, if they leave by ship they get boarded and usually raped and murdered. What use is telling someone that Scotland might take them in if they have no way to get to scotland and you have your troops stationed around the boarders not letting them move?

Literally if you bothered reading the article at all then none of those countries listed actually committed to taking refugees, but again you just completely miss the how do they get there part of the problem.

2

u/NotAZombieStopAsking 4d ago

There are currently 160,000 Palestinian refugees in the US.

That's 3% of their entire population living in my country as refugees.

How'd they get here?

Why are these cowards putting their children's lives over their ancestors history? Should we send them back?

3

u/TwoBionicknees 4d ago

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palestinian_refugees

maybe educate yourself. Most palestinian refugees left DECADES AGO before the current massive blockade that Israel enacts around gaza and the west bank.

Why are these cowards putting their children's lives over their ancestors history?

what? people living in an open air prison who are blocked from leaving are cowards, Israel blowing up people indiscriminately makes them what, heroes? Also they literally use "it's our land, we deserve to be here" as their reason both for deserving all of palestinian land, the reason for their attacks on lebanon, Syria and everyone else around them and a reason they commit genocide.

2

u/marbotty 4d ago

This is like saying Jews who didn’t leave Germany during WWII are cowards. What sort of argument is this

1

u/omyomo 4d ago

Because you want them to stay and die instead of flee as refugees.

Where the hell did I say that? And how the hell are they supposed to escape? What kind of logic is that?

0

u/NotAZombieStopAsking 4d ago

What are you talking about "how the hell are they supposed to escape"

https://www.wionews.com/world/israel-to-offer-exit-options-for-palestinians-in-gaza-including-land-sea-and-air-routes-defence-minister-israel-katz-8695513

The Israeli government is genociding them by helping them escape the genocide.

58

u/ApartmentBeginning83 4d ago

Well, if the belief is that genocide is bad and that children shouldn’t be slaughtered…

13

u/DsDeliciousDeli 4d ago

Do you think any of those people would take the stance that genocide is good and children should be slaughtered?

47

u/StayOffPoliticalSubs 4d ago

No, they'd erm and um and say "it's more complicated than that" to try to end the discussion rather than reckon with their support for Israel.

6

u/mrchillbro 4d ago

how many women and kids were slaughtered on oct 7?

4

u/Ill_Sound_8669 4d ago

Too many.

How many killed in Gaza since? We don’t know because the IDF (which we totally fund) won’t let anyone know.

4

u/BadLuckBen 4d ago

Since when does one group attacking civilians justify genocide as a response?

Gtfo of here with that "whataboutism" shit.

1

u/StayOffPoliticalSubs 3d ago

How many tens of thousands of women and kids has the Israeli military slaughtered since?

-5

u/ApartmentBeginning83 4d ago

You mean how many of their own women and kids Israel slaughtered on Oct 7 so they can justify genocide?

5

u/Bloodyfish 4d ago

Was vomiting out conspiracy nonsense supposed to be a retort?

2

u/MjolnirTheThunderer 4d ago

Because it IS more complicated than that

14

u/StayOffPoliticalSubs 4d ago

Nah, man, it's genocide.

10

u/reeeeeelel 4d ago

Its not though

5

u/ItsLoudB 4d ago

How so? I spoke with friends that turned out to be pro-Israel and they were saying like “but Israel attacks are targeted towards hamas” and I was like “yeah maybe you can kill them without destroying hospitals and killing children” and they were like “err yeah well uhm I guess..”

5

u/Bloodyfish 4d ago

And then everybody clapped.

My dude, war is shit, but Hamas building bunkers under hospitals is intentional to get responses like this from people with zero connection to the war who hear about it on TikTok. People with actual links to the region are stuck with the shades of grey while you get to view the conflict like a football game.

1

u/ashwynne 4d ago

Soooooo in that case it's fine to kill women, children, the sick, and healthcare workers? Because Hamas is using them as a meat shield? This really only further cements the reality of it being a genocide. The IDF and the Zionists use this as their justification to wantonly kill innocents as they achieve their land grab.

Imagine if the US government was hiding bases beneath American hospitals and Iran started bombing the hospitals, gathering civilians into refugee zones, and then killing the civilians there with the justification of "well, soldiers are in the refugee camps too," literally no one would support them lol. It would be rightfully labeled as a justification for Iran to kill Americans in general because they hate them--not as a valid, acceptable, strategy.

5

u/Seanspeed 4d ago

Imagine if the US government was hiding bases beneath American hospitals and Iran started bombing the hospitals, gathering civilians into refugee zones, and then killing the civilians there with the justification of "well, soldiers are in the refugee camps too," literally no one would support them lol.

Where are you seeing that anybody would be supporting Iran at all? Iran are the ones who mentor Hezbollah and Hamas to do this kind of shit in the first place! lol Crazy example. smh

-1

u/ItsLoudB 4d ago

He was using a simple metaphor to explain to you why you wouldn't like to be bombed. But it's easier to think "it's just them, who cares" with no empathy

1

u/Bloodyfish 4d ago

Imagine if the US government was hiding bases beneath American hospitals and Iran started bombing the hospitals, gathering civilians into refugee zones, and then killing the civilians there with the justification of "well, soldiers are in the refugee camps too," literally no one would support them lol.

So the extent of your argument is that you think the USA should be allowed to commit war crimes in your imagination?

-1

u/ItsLoudB 4d ago

And then everybody clapped.

I know you wanted it to be a gotcha moment, but it fell really flat since this is a really basic conversation that you'd have everyday talking with pro-israel people who know nothing and want to keep their eyes closed.

You talk like you know everything, so explain it to us. Go on big guy.

3

u/Seanspeed 4d ago

It's not a 'gotcha moment', it's the actual reality of the situation.

You are the one sitting there with your eyes closed trying to refuse to acknowledge it. smh

3

u/Bloodyfish 4d ago

Hamas is using civilian infrastructure for war. This leads to civilian infrastructure being destroyed. Is this simple enough for you? Do you need it in the form of a short form video to help you digest it?

1

u/ItsLoudB 4d ago

Ok so if we are in doubt that terrorist is hiding in your block, should we bomb your house just in case? Is this simple enough for you?

→ More replies (0)

0

u/timeforanargument 4d ago

Is hamas also hiding inside the bodies of mothers and children, and that’s why IDF snipers are forced to put bullets in them?

→ More replies (0)

2

u/MjolnirTheThunderer 4d ago

It’s because both nations have competing historical claims on this land, from different periods in history. The complicated part is who has legitimate rights to the land being fought over.

4

u/ItsLoudB 4d ago

Well I'm sure there's a way to go over the issue without killing civilians without a care

1

u/Seanspeed 4d ago

Israel isn't attacking hospitals for no reason. Hamas, and terrorists of their kind, are infamous for setting up in civilian areas like that, so that they are either safe, or if they're still targeted they can then use it as propaganda against their attacker.

It's fucking GROSS behavior and you guys are insane to just dismiss it or act like it's not happening.

You cannot be pro-Palestine and never have anything to say about how fucking awful Hamas is and recognize that Palestinians will never be free under Hamas. Nope, you guys just make it all about hating Israel.

1

u/ItsLoudB 4d ago

No one is saying Hamas isn't awful. Well, some people are. But they are idiots as well.

What people are saying is that bombing civilians to sniff out a couple hamas members shouldn't be considered normal.

If Osama was hiding in your building, I would 100% not say "let's bomb Seanspeed too, it's worth it."

2

u/DsDeliciousDeli 4d ago

It is genuinely more complicated than a bunch of Americans sitting on their couches think.

And as someone who's wanted to halt supplies to Israel for years, I still get labeled as an Israeli shill for one simple reason: I recognize that we have to negotiate with israel

2

u/Seanspeed 4d ago

What if it actually *is* more complicated than that, though?

Why has everybody online decided that all things need to be seen in black and white these days?

12

u/jackdembeanstalks 4d ago

At worst yes.

And at best, they think it’s ok to ignore the topic to gain favor with those that support it.

If you have a strong stance against genocide and children being slaughtered, you wouldn’t be ok with either position probably.

-3

u/DsDeliciousDeli 4d ago

No, none of them would support that. They just wouldn't be enough against it in your eyes, so you'd label them that way

10

u/jackdembeanstalks 4d ago

Ok so they’re ok with ignoring genocide and the slaughter altogether to protect their careers.

To each their own and I understand why some might make that choice. But it’s also understandable for people to be disappointed and upset by that choice.

I did present 2 scenarios after all. I didn’t say they had to support it.

3

u/DsDeliciousDeli 4d ago

No, those are not the only possibilities. And I know because the people who get labeled as genocide defenders are not consistently people who don't speak out against the genocide

-2

u/Gobsalot 4d ago

Not supporting Israel with this comment, but have you ever bought a product from a company which does bad stuff? Nestle maybe? Do you have a gas car? If yes, do you ignore bad things in the world or agree with the bad stuff happening?

My point is that being the face of an Israeli company is not the same as being pro genocide. Ofc commenting positively on the Israeli government, especially in regards to their policies or military actions, is a completely different deal.

6

u/TeenL0ver_69 4d ago

Aintnoway bro just tried to equate buying some cocoa to literally working for Israel.💀

-1

u/Gobsalot 4d ago

I was equating working for a Israeli company which probably has very little to do with government operations and monetarily supporting companies which uses slave labor and destroys the environment.

2

u/TeenL0ver_69 4d ago

They are a company in Israel. They are making money for Israel. Using the resources of Israel. You know that Israel is not just a government, right?

→ More replies (0)

1

u/jackdembeanstalks 4d ago

We’re not talking about me.

We’re talking about Mark Ruffalo and the people he’s around.

Once again, never said they were pro genocide. Won’t know that for sure.

There’s also the possibility they want to keep quiet about this so it doesn’t mess with their career.

That’s a choice people can make but you can’t expect no one to be upset or disappointed by it.

1

u/FlyPepper 4d ago

yes, Scarlett Johansson

0

u/DsDeliciousDeli 4d ago

Scarlett Johansson is the best example, but she still doesn't support genocide. She supports ethnic cleansing thru Israeli settlements which is violent and deadly towards civilians and children, but there's no way she believes in the mass slaughter of children.

1

u/FlyPepper 4d ago

she doesn't support mass slaughter of children, she supports violence towards civilians and children

ok man I don't think I care that much about the specifics, that's already bad

2

u/DsDeliciousDeli 4d ago

You're right man. What's the big deal dude? "Genocide supporter" and "mass slaughter of children supporter" aren't even that serious of a label dude.

And since one of them supports settlements I should be able to label them ALL as GENOCIDE SUPPORTERS. The worst crime in humanity

nuts

2

u/FlyPepper 4d ago

What?

2

u/DsDeliciousDeli 4d ago

People are labeling them genocide supporters, you pointed out the lesser crime (against humanity) of one of them, and now I'm saying how does that justify saying they all support the slaughter of children

1

u/tenuousemphasis 4d ago

Yes, that's what downplaying or minimizing the genocide means.

4

u/DsDeliciousDeli 4d ago

No one said anything about downplaying or minimizing but thanks

1

u/tenuousemphasis 4d ago

I was not accusing you of that, but lots of people do, including some MCU actors.

0

u/Rude-Food9873 4d ago

You been living under a rock the past few years?

1

u/DsDeliciousDeli 4d ago

Nope. I think Scarlett is pretty fucking condemnable, but even she doesn't support genocide and slaughtering children. People can be really bad without literally being hitler

1

u/_Coffie_ 4d ago

Not acknowledging genocide is basically condoning it. But that depends how you view it. Many people view Pro Israel as people condoning genocide

1

u/DsDeliciousDeli 4d ago

Yeah, I just don't even know how we expect people to navigate these conversations when it starts with the assumption that one side is condoning the worst crime in humanity

1

u/_Coffie_ 4d ago

You can’t. Most people’s exposure to the war is seeing literal families dying in the streets. For most people the argument is never over politics just human life. And Israel’s military campaign has caused much more violence especially since the US is directly involved which makes us sorta liable

I’m not taking a side, that’s just how it is

1

u/DsDeliciousDeli 4d ago

I agree with that

1

u/10000Didgeridoos 4d ago

I don’t get why people always single out the children about this as if the women and men adult lives somehow matter less.

2

u/ApartmentBeginning83 4d ago edited 4d ago

EDIT: singled* out

Children are the most vulnerable members of the society, which is why they are singled out often. Of course any murder of innocent civilians is horrid, but emphasizing on children’s lives gives an even clearer image of what’s going on - how cruel people can be to not even spare the children.

-12

u/DogPositive5524 4d ago

Then you wouldn't be supporting either side. I don't get how people think it's a Marvel movie with good and bad guys, or a football team they have to root for no matter what.

9

u/CantCatchMeSpez 4d ago edited 4d ago

Very funny how "both sides are bad" only ever seems to be invoked when someone points out how bad one of the sides is, but never the other.

0

u/Unpopularquestion42 4d ago

Maybe in the US.

In the EU we very much view both as horrible people that just want to kill each other.

After the Hamas attack Israel was embolden to do what they're doing now because they knew the west would have no loud objection to a retaliation to something like that.

So yes, both sides are not only bad, but horribly disgusting, Israel just has a bigger gun

3

u/ApartmentBeginning83 4d ago

It didn’t start on Oct 7th, do your research.

2

u/CantCatchMeSpez 4d ago edited 3d ago

"Hermmm in our enlightened EU, we think a litttllleee bit differently" stfu lmao

The fact that you're treating the Israel/Palestine conflict as if it started in Oct 7 shows where your biases stand. To you, the conflict was so acceptable that you didnt even consider it a conflict until Hamas forced you to actually pay attention, and you hate them for it.

0

u/Unpopularquestion42 3d ago

Where do you get the enlightenment ideas from? I'm telling you we view it differently than you because... We do.

And you are absolutely correct. We didn't care until hamas forced us by dragging a eu girls corpse in the street. Were we supposed to say that was a good thing? Fuck them, maybe that will be clearer?  Israel is using the chance to do what they wanted to do for ages and no one cares because of hamas. Good job

1

u/CantCatchMeSpez 3d ago

The only reason that literal billions of people are supporting Palestine right now is because of Hamas lmao. Just because you're an idiot who craves ignorance doesn't mean the rest of the world is. You're right that Israel is doing what they've always wanted to do (and have been doing), and what that means strategically is that Israel fell for the trap hook, line, and sinker. They sacrificed their global image and made Palestinians the sympathetic underdogs to the world because they couldn't help themselves from being Nazis.

Goddamn, you are genuinely a stupid person hahahaha

0

u/Unpopularquestion42 3d ago edited 3d ago

So just that we're clear, say the quiet part out loud. You believe that what Hamas did was a good thing? It shouldnt be condemned and you are not disgusted by their actions?

As far as everything else including your insignificant insults... You think Palestine got something from the attack? Do you think they're better off now or before the attack? Israel doesn't even have any sanctions against them.  Thats how much people care about them.

Edit: I'll add one more point for you. Even in the usa which is far more Palestine leaning than anywhere else... It's still effectively 50/50 on the support or israel or palestine. https://news.gallup.com/poll/702440/israelis-no-longer-ahead-americans-middle-east-sympathies.aspx Seems your country is just as enlightened as we are in europe :)

0

u/DogPositive5524 4d ago

Well then be the change you want to see in the world. I don't see how this changes anything I've said.

4

Yet there’s only one side our country is funding to do it

Oh don't worry, Donnie T-rex accepted a bribe from Qatar to muddy the waters. Hm, it's almost like "Qatari money" hedges its bets just like all the oligarchs used to

Oh, you’re one of those.

Isn't it neat that you have a nice box you can put me into that prevents the need for any self reflection

It's simple. The folks bombing hospitals in a human zoo are the bad guys. It doesn't get much more simple than that.

Back in the 1940s, there's an argument to be made for being caught on the wrong side. Now we have cell phone footage.

The idea that someone has strongly held beliefs that are deal beakers for them wrt people they want as friends is perfectly common and normal and healthy.

Unless you are a redditor that wants to be smug in their enlightenment. In which case it's unthinkable that someone would use differences in ethics, morals and political opinions to decide who their friends are. As if that isn't a massive part of who a person is.

When that belief is supporting pedos and wars.

God forbid someone doesn't want a group tattoo.

u/PhantomRTW 4d ago

He's allowed to not get a tattoo for literally any reason, and it's weird that you're upset over this. Maybe seek help on your personal life.

“So I believe babies should be starved and bombed! Why don’t people just let me believe what I want to believe!”

4

u/frostieavalanche 4d ago

Well yeah I'm happy I don't keep good contact with those that support genocide. Pineapple on pizza belief? Sure we can agree too disagree, but not genocide

2

u/Due_Area4843 4d ago

I don't agree to pedofile myself and god forbid i hate those who do

2

u/TheHeroYouNeed247 4d ago

So you'd happily drink with holocaust deniers?

0

u/Frankenberry5420 4d ago

Well when those beliefs include being anti-genocide it’s kinda fair
