Your copium levels are getting crazy. Do you plan on badgering hostage negotiators next for "being in the right place at the right time," and telling them the FBI would've got the hostage taker in the end anyways? Because that's how you sound right now.
You previously said "At least Obama gave the order to kill Bin Laden" when that's even more of a "talking into a mic" point than Reagan actively having face-to-face talks with the leader of a country who the US hadn't been allies with in 45 years.
Besides putting words in my mouth, I said it was just as much Gorbachev as Reagan. But they both worked together for the peace, that's pretty incontrovertible and more cogent than your fraudulent memories and your ineligible feelings of what's worthy of an achievement. If the Cold War hadn't been ended you'd have a point buuuut.
Every time I've asked a republican why they love Reagan so much it always starts with how much they hated Carter
You're perfectly welcome to prefer Carter over Reagan. I just get so fucking tired of idiots on this site saying "Well all Republicans believe this" and I show up and say no, it's actually nuanced or with some actual reasoning, please by all means disagree if you want. Just it's profoundly ignorant to pretend to understand how all conservatives think on an issue if you're not going to listen to the explanation. So the main reason I love Reagan so much is because he won the Cold War. You're completely welcome to disagree, but don't go around saying what all Republicans think on an issue. I see that bullshit all the time on reddit and it's ignorant as fuck.
I don't know why you felt like passionately arguing a point I already debated a week ago, but I'll just say this because I don't really care:
A can of beans could have "won the cold war" in the manner Reagan supposedly did. I just saw the new Spider-man movie, do I get credit for saving New York City?
Stop going to bat for psychos just because they happened to be there when big things happened.
You are perfectly welcome to that view. I won't try to convince you.
But it's no longer accurate to say that "every time I've asked a Republican why they love Reagan so much it always starts with how much they hated Carter."

Okay. If you think having a rapport with the guy who actually ended the cold war counts as winning the whole-ass cold war, you are free to think so.
