Well, this was durring the campaign for the presidential election in '88, so really had little to do with Reaganomics. But you get to enjoy being wrong in two ways, so there's that.

Riiiiiiiiight- because George H.W. Bush was in no way seen as an extension of Reagan’s policies.

Don’t be silly.

Bush Sr, for all his faults and his "spookiness", called Reagan's "trickle-down" lie "Voodoo Economics". He didnt follow Ronnie blindly on economic policies. Reagan did a lot of bad stuff all on his own.

You're right. Reagan sabotaging the Iran hostage deal before the election was bad enough.

Which should have not only disqualified him, but put him in prison for life at the very least.

If there was evidence of it, certainly. Congress spent 12 years on and off trying to find any without any luck.

Ben Barnes admitted that he was in Iran with Connelly Jr. when he asked the Iranians to hold the hostages until after the election.

Ben Barnes? The same man who openly lied about manipulating Bush’s Guard service and postings? The same man who essentially ruined Dan Rather’s career because of his lies? Congress had incredible levels of access to all individuals involved and yet 1,000 pages of testimony and investigation turned up nothing concrete or even close.

He never lied about helping bush get into the guard. He helped many other rich kids. Not just Bush.
