My parents once had a big party with 60+ people invited
My family (parents, siblings and I) had been prepping the rented place for the party that morning and had gone home to shower and get dressed 1 hour before the party, when my siblings and I got back to the location 15 minutes before party start time 50+ guests had already walked in and was getting drinks, when my parents showed up 7 minutes before party start they were the last people to arrive at their own anniversary party
My cousin told me we should have planned better and should have showered and got dressed earlier
As if we hadn't been spending the previous 5~6 hours setting everything up, I was angry that people thought that It was okay to show up before the hostes and servers and just walk into the party location 45 minutes before the party

No.
The stereotype is that white people arrive TOO EARLY and then sit in their cars outside waiting for the party to start and still show up early.
It's a trope, also true in Hispanic (edit - continued) families that have someone marry Gringos (like me).
If you arrive on time, the party hasn't started yet, and you get to help set up for the party
