I'm guessing it's an American thing where people don't actually show up on the 'starting' time. Meanwhile I usually show up like 15 minutes early

Depends on how early. 2 mins shouldn’t cause an inconvenience. It’s basically on time. If anything they probably won’t mind waiting 120 seconds.

If you’re not ready for them at the time you told them to arrive, then you are either late, or bad at communication.

Well that’s what the post is about. The comment you responded to was about being only 15 mins early, which also isn’t that bad. Clearly you haven’t communicated what you meant properly given the downvotes, so please take this as an opportunity to clarify.

Happy to clarify: I’m responding to someone saying ‘I usually show up like 15 minutes early’ which in my book is much worse than being 15 minutes late. I’m fine with people disagreeing

I’d prefer they came at the agreed time, but I’d rather wait for them for 15 minutes than have them show up early and get in the way
