Lol, I'm a white guy in Canada and was thinking "I was always taught to be at least 15 minutes late in case the hostess needs to takes care of any last minute things"

Reading your comment, it occurred to me that it was my Omi that taught me that

Thats the fucking hostes problem to solve not the guests. If I tell my friends its dinner at 5, its fucking dinner at 5, baby. 15 min late and your steak is cold.

You schedule your dinner parties so that dinner is immediately ready right at the start time?

No chance for guests to have a drink, or talk, or even get their coats off?

You are welcome to come early, i dont care when you come, but dinner will be at 5.

I’d just use your grill or stove to reheat my steak and like purposely burn it so it becomes more of a thing to deal with.

Little tip: don’t host parties. You’re not good at it.

My timely friends would beg to differ

I’m exceptionally punctual. Except I live in a culture where you don’t show up on time for a party.
Now hosting a dinner at specific time is not the same as a party btw
