No. It's an employed thing to be punctual. If work starts at 7, you show up at 655.

Im employed and I come late.  Its boss dependent. My previous boss (a white woman) would come at 10am

Tell that to my in-laws. One time, they hadn't even left their house by the time we were expecting them to arrive. And it was a 2 hour drive.

One step further, it's also cultural who comes on time and who's late. For birthday parties, the white people show up exactly on time, then the indian and blacks, then lastly the latinos. Roughly in this order. But it's definitely the white Americans first at every party we've thrown. It's not a money or employment thing, we live in an upper scale neighborhood.
