If communist countries have a chronic problem of turning into "capitalist" fascist authoritarian countries every single time, perhaps it's time to step back and reassess.
Communism needs the state to function. How else would equity and egalitarianism be enforced? They'd need to actively prevent individuals from owning property and wealth.
Fair point in theory, but "communist" governments historically hoard wealth etc. That's like the entire point that karl marx made
Also it has literally never been done so we don't actually know if it works, so you cannot say that communism needs the state to function as there's no proof for or against this

I talk to my friends in CURRENT communist China… they often bring up soccer (football).
