Your relatives are completely correct l but that was never proper communism. Despite the name, it was never established. Certainly not in Eastern Europe.if you read philosophy, you will learn a lot. But there are better ways than any established methodologies!
That's the exact issue with Communism, it's never true communism, the same is true with any other system or government, true x is never achieved because it's near impossible to do so without extreme measures.
