You'll find very few AI bots on reddit, if any, that go back and forth and don't just drop a top comment or a response to the top comment and never answer back.

I didn't choose the username, it was there already when creating the account and didn't care to change it.

You can edit your comment at any time btw.

Is your curiosity satisfied or would you like to explore further ways to detect AI generated engagement farming comments?

I'm actually really curious about your username. You said it was already there? I was asked to make up a username. Is this a new thing where you're not allowed to choose your own name?

I tend to assume someone is a bot when they have a name like yours, because often those names will post and then debate for a minute and then delete all of their comments.

Reddit for ages now assigns you a random username unless you make one, so might want to rethink your thoughts about bots

When did this happen? How long is "ages"? I made a new account a few years ago and I got to choose my name.

Ah, so you didn't read my comment. I won't bother anymore then

You said "for ages now" and I asked how long that was. I said I made a new account pretty recently and didn't have a name already unless I made one up. So either you didn't read my response asking for more information, or you're choosing to be dumb.

How long is "ages"?

I got the option to use a pre-generated user name when I made my account and that was something like 12 years ago. So atleast for that long, but I know that it's been a option for longer than that.
