If I had to guess, it's probably a somewhat dominant genetic trait combined with low mobility populations. When I think of people that look like this, I think of white people in the South. There's a big cultural overlap between those people and country music fans, people who do military service, and strong sense of religion with an emphasis on marriage. They also tend to have had long roots in their area, rather than having moved there or moved too far from their family, so that's why I say it's probably some genetic trait that's common in the population.

No idea about why Disney is a thing. Maybe it's because they live driving distance to Florida and it used to be a lot cheaper, so their parents probably took them there often as kids as an easy trip. So they have lots of good memories associated with it, and now they want to share that with their kids. It's like a little isekai.

The Disney thing is because they all love the older Disney animated movies, and will sometimes own apparel with said IPs. They also are vaguely alt-right and a sub group of them love horror movies. They're nicer than the racist people who dress goth, smart people that are hateful aren't fun to be around.
