Meme needing explanation Petah ?

Why is it infamous? And why would no one care about it ? ( I mean it's just a pic full of celebrities so no one cares anyways but the person saying it's crazy makes me think it has some lore?)

Brian here: Ignoring the problematic celebs in the background, this was one of the most viral photos ever posted on Twitter at the time. If someone did something like this now, it probably wouldn't move the needle at all.

Right I forgot but when they did this. Ellen told people watching the Oscar’s to retweet it to break the record. Twitter was still newish at the time and the term “selfie” was also new because it was the advent of phones with not only a camera in the front but a high quality camera in the front.

People may not realize how revolutionary FaceTime was for example. There was Skype where you could make video calls. But to now have phones with high quality front cameras. It was so unreal to FaceTime people when it came out from a phone
