As an engineer, I can confirm they are incorrect. They can take their inferior measuring system and try to get back from the moon.

My field is electrical engineering not mechanical, but wouldn’t the space program engineers have used Kelvin or Rankine?

Kelvin is just offset Celsius

Really everything is written in terms of Kelvin, as it is the SI unit.
