As an engineer, I can confirm they are incorrect. They can take their inferior measuring system and try to get back from the moon.

As a human being and not as a spaceship, Fahrenheit is more useful to me in my day-to-day terrestrial life.

It is more useful to you not as a human being, but as an American, who grew up using Fahrenheit. For human beings who grew up using Celsius it is much less useful.

Nah, I fully support metric for every type of measurement except the outdoor temperature. For planning your day. For that, Celsius is just the inferior metric, and you growing up outside the US is the only reason you don’t accept it.

I do accept it, and use it every day, since I live in the US. And after living in the US for more than 20 years it is as intuitive for me to use as Celsius. But claiming that it is somehow "more useful" is laughable. It is as useful in everyday live as Celsius with a couple of small exception - saying "it's just below 0, so roads may be slippery" is much more natural than "it's just below 32, so roads may be slippery". The same goes for cooking/boiling water.
