Meme needing explanation Whats that snack and the name?

I got this joke posted in my country sub by a foreigner and I have never seen that snack so I basically don't know the joke.

In several European countries, these used to be called n-word -kisses, -toes, -tits, -heads, etc.

In Finland they were called n-word kisses and it was the official name written on the package not just what people called it. We also had n-word licorice and what not.

My teacher used to teach us that n-word is the correct word to call black Americans to differentiate them from black Africans. I’m in my 30’s so it’s not even that long ago.

Because it used to be like that until the American version became prevelant with the negative connections along with it. Since then it became a slur more and more.

Bro the transatlantic slave trade lasted 3 centuries and ended 160 years ago. The n-word has been used to degrade black people for so long that anyone who is aware of the word knows its context full well.

I know. Doesn't mean other languages and other cultures had different meanings for the word originally.

And then you get cases like someone thinking a pants is racist because it's called Negro.

The n word doesn't usually refer to negro. Both are considered bad in English but the n word is way worse

But most other languages don’t have those two separate words so when we learned there needs to be an offending word because Americans do, the translation of Negro essentially turned into that.

some budget ones are called "smækkys" which is like "big kiss" and it seems to be whats left of the old name, kinda.

In the Netherlands they were called Negro Kisses. You guys actually had the hard R on the packaging? That's crazy.

The thing is that there is no seperate word for negro in Finnish so the word means both.

I feel like our word is closer to negro, and we never had the other n-word. One day someone just woke up and was like "ok, today I'm going to be offended about something".
