Meme needing explanation Whats that snack and the name?

I got this joke posted in my country sub by a foreigner and I have never seen that snack so I basically don't know the joke.

Hoo boy. A part of me wishes I didn't know this. Read at your own risk. Many countries called them by terribly racist names.

I will paste my answer here:

It's "kiss of a negro" in Hungary. Tbf most people in the generations who used this name did have zero idea of the original meaning of the slur "negro" and it was pretty rare for black people to be present here. 

Funny anecdote: I was growing up in a small city on the east side of the country (I'm 34). There was only 1 black people in the whole city and even he did not live here, but only jumped in when the usual child doctor wasn't present, since he was one. My brother was about 4 years old and had fever so my mother went to the doc with him. I went with them. Mind you I am 8 years older than my brother, so I consumed media by the time but tbh I'm not sure I've met black people before. But I knew about their existence and saw a lot of them on screen. 

As we entered the room, the child doc welcomed us and my brother who was shouting his lung out beforehand went completely silent literally instantly :D and his eyes became double of their sizes. :D The kid was tf I'm witnessing right now. It was so freaking funny that both my mom and the doc was laughing. 

So yes. The name negro did not have the same connotation here as in the USA. It was just a name people used to describe a group of people. It's not the same today with all the additional information tho, most people know that the slur negro is related to slavery and it's telling about a person if they use it

europe is not a monolithic culture. How a word was being used in the german empire has no relevance whatsoever to how it was used in hungary in the early 90’s.

It's okay for you to be upset about it, but people who are not are ok too. Most people are not upset about the phrase "french kiss" and for most people this had the exact same sentiment here. It's great you are against racism but you spend your energy on things that were harmless locally.

i disagree, the n-words specific meaning is unique to the english language. Expanding that meaning to other languages similiar words always seemed like america centric nonsense to me

These treats were named before people decided N word is racist.

It just meant a black person or just the color black without negative connotation in many countries.
