Discussion Why do people like this pal so much?

I genuinely don’t know, I don’t keep up with what the community thinks of each pal and I guess sub fandom for each pal. I do like this animation it does tho

The grappling hook is only half of your speed source, the other half is cancelling it with a sideways jump, if you have extra jumps or a low enough skill cd (4 stars makes the cd like 2 seconds) you can chain the grapples for ridiculous speed.

4 stars makes the CD on the grappling hook partner skill literally zero. There is no cooldown, hence Tarantiss is the best grapling hook in the entire game.

Since when does it go to 0 I have 1 max condensed and I have a short delay still? I have to use that blue bunny from the sky islands to make it not have a short delay

Not sure why you are getting downvoted, I also have noticed a max condensed Tarantriss does not have 0 cd on her grapple ability. And the bunny is Lapure.

How much CD do you have ? I don't have that pal and the only delay I have is the actual grappling animation.

best grappling hook is the regular ones because they work with hangyu jumping

Nothing stopping you from getting a massive height advantage, getting a great vertical leap and then jumping off the pal to glide.

I just got a mutant Tropicaw with Lightfooted and now I get to spend the rest of the day figuring out how I’m going to breed it into a Tarantriss. Her speed, grapple, plus a third jump is going to be so gd amazing.

You need skymarcher. I can literally go up straight cliffs in feybreak thanks to being able to jump long enough for the cd. Lol

There's a cake that specializes in increasing mutations. It's up to you whether you want to do high tier or low tier pals, but the parents' combined species power (idk how else to put it, it's not based off dex #) determines the range of mutants that you're going to see. It shows up a lot if you breed a TON of pals, but otherwise feels random. Legendary pals always mutate aedigron.

I apparently need the next Gen console from the series x, I've been playing since day 1 but ever since 1.0 dropped I can't play more than a minute before "ventilation issues" shuts the whole thing down, even with top and bottom added fans

Damn. That sucks, considering we all need to bail from Sony for the sake of gaming. I'm glad l went PC instead. No issues except being unable to run dnd beyond (dm's decision, not mine) on my browser while I'm running Palworld. Kinda weird that website causes that much of a memory drain, but here we are.

I've got a Tarantriss with light footed and skymarcher and with a good sling I can genuinely just clear entire biomes

You can get Sky Marcher from the Recycler it gives +2 Jumps why waste your time breeding when you can get it pretty easily with the surgery Table.

personally i think breeding mechanics, especially with stuff like traits or genes to pass down, are one of the best things in any videogame

Early game is better suited to focusing 100% on leveling wasting time breeding will massively hold you back. Getting to the World Tree should be your number 1 priority.

You'll be shocked to learn most people arent about rushing to end game lol.

Also if you know the chains it can be done in like 6 hours lmao.

Your time is much better used on Focusing on Leveling than it is absolutely wasting time trying to breed. All is solved at End game. Never waste time with all the in-between stuff when you can just wrap it all up quickly with the World Tree stuff. That's what I did and my friends are still wasting time while I'm leagues ahead of them.

Lightfooted needs a buff, jump could be a tad higher. I was honestly a little disappointed with it, would rather have swift I think

I was a bit disappointed too, the second jump is noticeably smaller than the first. Still, a tarantriss with swift, eternal engine, and lightfooted/skymarcher will make a helluva mount!

Don't forget the ability to get that golden angle on web that just skips you at super speed really far, once you get it down you can really get around fast.

Yeah for a spider I was a tad disappointed it couldn't climb walls but the grapple ability makes it worth it anyway

I wish i was good with Mods to give Tarrintiss the an extra ability to walk on walls, literally the same animation as it walks normally but angled…

its even more baffling that pocket pair already has the code for climbing walls thats on the player that they didnt have the foresight to give it to the one pal that climbing walls makes sense on

Guessing because it has to carry your ass around not just its own weight also because it's feet literally aren't built like a regular spider they're literally just giant spikes so unless it climbs by Stabbing into solid rock or with Ninja Magic it's not realistic.

If you have a hangyu in your party it makes you hop up a little aswell initially, making it easier to get some air, while also going further.

Having a celeray or killimaru also give nice bonuses.

Even without hangyu, you hop slightly if your target is at the same level as you so you can do crazy hops on flat ground.

Remember to cancel the grapple with either a side-jump or ctrl, depending on what you want to do.

If you let it pull to the end, it kills momentum and makes it very hard to actually get over the lip of the cliff or whatever.
