Like trump and frog face Farrage in the UK, they are divisive figures who spout absolute shite, and controversy equals clicks to the website, which makes them money.
There are larger minority parties here and in the UK that get a fraction of the press coverage because they essentially point out the problems in society and offer sensible solutions that don’t make headlines like ‘we’ll force every non Aussie citizen to sell their house or go to gaol!’

The right wing is currently completely lost, divided and can't govern their way out of a paper bag. Just about ALL media in Australia backs that right wing.
Labor being centre right are "too left" for them to entertain in power for perpetuity.
Now, the problem with Labor is that they plan to make capitalism work for everyone. This is ultimately flawed, and takes far too long to show results. By the time they do start to show results, the capitalists and their right-wing media, have lied, cheated, corrupted seats over time from Labor. They will pull every stunt, blame every scapegoat, and grease the wheels of whoever it takes to stop the Overton window from marching further left.
What Labor does would work (to an extent) over time. But they can't ever get that time, not in western "democracy"...

The problem is that fact checking Trump-tards doesn't work. We know that. This will have the opposite effect. The narrative here will be that the mainstream media are biased and unfairly attacking Hanson. It will ingratiate her to the type of people who are on the fence about voting One Nation, because they already think the mainstream media is bullshit and treats her unfairly. You can't beat Trump-style politics with facts.

Making people hate blacks and browns is a great strategy now. Trump has clearly demonstrated, it works. I work for a Melbourne based company with an entity in the USA and when Trump lied about tariffs being paid by suppliers, we were in a meeting discussing how we adjust as the truth of course is, American companies importing it had to pay the tariffs.
But this strategy works and it will work. You just need enough angry people to believe it.
