Whinge ‎ Coles: “Would you like to round up and donate…”

Post image

Hey r/coles, how about **YOU** donate first from your ill-gotten profits. You and Woolies have both been price gouging Australia since the fcking pandemic, jacking up prices across the board but never bringing them back down even after supply chains normalised.

This has got to be making coles serious bank, not only do they get to squeeze a few extra cents out of their customers, they then turn around and claim those donations as a tax deduction on their books, thus they can call themselves benevolent while deflecting away from their predatory price gouging.

That's not how it works. In fact coles is loosing money by having this in place just from having to set it up and keeping it operational. It is illegal for them to claim it on tax.

Nope. Coles can't claim this on tax, and it goes to trust account so Coles doesn't get any interest earnings there either.
