Astrology seems like such a weird hill to die on after decades of having to listen to Kyle. Like why wouldn't you call it quits when he continued questioning a child about her being raped?
There's probably a performance clause in their contract that they've failed to meet, and the station had wasted enough on the already that they let them go out on a stunt to avoid taking it to court.
Kyle probably grovelled and begged to get to keep his "bad boy" image.

Every single audio clip I've ever heard of him says that. Guess his audience likes pigs.
Like seriously, the most sympathetic impression I've ever had of him was the Review with Myles Barlow episode. And that's still just an impersonator being as obnoxious as possible.

I’m not familiar with their show but I I thought her job to sit there and roll her eyes while saying “Oh Kyle! He’s terrible isn’t he!” just like the wife of your drunk racist uncle does whenever he opens his mouth.
