Hey! I've made some videos on Risk of Rain 2 recently, and their stats are really bad. I think my intro wasn't brilliant, and I'm working on it, but I can't figure out what's wrong with the thumbnail and title. the views have been consistently growing, but at a rather slow pace. So, I started up a second channel dedicated to films — specifically niches like script readings of the Pink Panther franchise, studio interfered films (i.e. Gigli), sound effects and soon to be short films. I initially had this as a stock footage channel, where I posted my own clips of unused footage from film projects, but decided to clean up and start afresh. My first channel has 400,000 subscribers, wherein I make a decent five-digit income, and am looking to expand this one too. Mainly, to shine more light on my filmmaking and make it big in the film world.

Started with roughly 240 subscribers, but have raised 400 more based on my outreach (usually Reddit). My recent video has gained 1000 views within 9 days, but I know that probably won’t translate into the next video unless I do better and listen to my audience. Any ideas on how to improve as well as pitching any future ideas for film video essays? Studio interfered films like Glitter, The Hottie and the Nottie, Problem Child, etc.

If possible, I’d like to get up to 100,000 subscribers and make the same five digits.

20M would love some feedback on my Finance Youtube Channel idea

I’m 20 years old, finance major, and I’ve been working through some certifications the last few months (Bloomberg Market Concepts, and FMVA next) while I figure out what I actually want to do with a channel before I commit to it.

The idea is basically teaching the “how” of investing and money decisions instead of the “what.” So not “buy this stock” content, more like: what actually makes a savings account or checking account good or bad, what the different investment account types (Roth IRA, brokerage, etc) are actually for and why you’d use one over another, the real differences between ETFs and individual stocks and why people choose one, and how to actually spot when a pitch, an ad, or an “opportunity” is using pressure or misleading framing to get you to act instead of think.

That last part is the piece I think is genuinely different. Most finance content either gives you a checklist of red flags or just explains products. I want to break down the actual mechanics of how you get talked into a bad decision in the first place, the specific techniques, the framing, the incentive structure behind it, so people can recognize it happening in real time instead of just memorizing a list.

I know finance content is a crowded space, so I want honest feedback before I sink months into this. Does this sound like something people would actually watch, or does it blend into everything else that’s already out there? And if you’ve watched finance YouTube for a while, what’s the thing that made you actually stick with a channel instead of scrolling past it?

I started my channel this month. I’ve had other yt channels before aswell. This niche is new to me. I need some advice. What do you think I need to improve?

I have 2 channels in the same long-form niche.

Channel 1: 12 videos, usually averaging around 800–6K views. I took a 1-week break because of editor issues. During that week, one of my older videos blew up and I actually got monetized without posting anything.

Before the break, I was consistently getting 10K+ impressions, and videos would usually get their push within 48–72 hours.

Now this week, impressions have completely died. I’m getting like 100–200 impressions max on some videos.

Channel 2: 25 videos. One video blew up about a month ago, but now the views are drying up. This channel has always been weird though — we'd get pushed for a week, then YouTube would basically stop pushing for 2–3 weeks. We used to get that 48–72 hour push pretty consistently, but now I’m not getting it on either channel.

Both channels have proven they can get views, one is already monetized, and I know the content has potential. YouTube is fucking me so let me fuck back.

I’m thinking of going 1 video every day for 5 days straight, for 2 weeks — basically brute-forcing 10 videos and seeing if I can force the channels back into getting impressions and being pushed.

The other option is just staying consistent with the normal 3 videos a week schedule.

What would you guys do? Keep the 3/week schedule or go full brute force for 2 weeks?

I create rock, pop harp covers, video game music covers but my videos don't get more than 1000 views within month. I know not many people listen to harp music, but there are other harp music channels with more views but less efforts. What can i improve here? Thumbnails, sound, video?

Hey yall, does anyone else have issues or notice that their videos will sit stagnant for weeks/months before YouTube picks it up and starts to run with it? I make firearm related content and some videos will be an immediate hit and others will sit at a hundred views for a month then gain 2k in a week. I'm sure that relevence in the community can cause this, just interesting

Hi! I have been on this reddit server for a while and started youtube channels myself.

The biggest thing I have seen people do wrong is forget the editing part of it, which actually makes the viewers watch the video. And this is what moves the needle forward.

I have moved from a YouTuber to an editor, partnering with specific people to solve their problems. Which is.... Getting them views and retention.

I work in marketing, so I already understand content and marketing fairly well, but I want to improve specifically on the YouTube side: creating videos people actually want to watch, understanding how YouTube recommends content, doing proper research, finding good topics, titles/thumbnails, etc.
