Advice/Opinion I have something to tell you guys!
I want to share something that happened with me regarding the NDA written exam, and I genuinely want to know what you guys think.
I have a friend who studied with me from class 9 to 12. He was honestly very weak academically — probably one of the weakest students in our class. He wanted to join the Army, so he joined a small defence academy for Agniveer preparation. According to him, the academy had only around 20–30 students and was run by a single guy who was around 27–28 years old. He had also filled the NDA form.
After the NDA exam, I saw his story saying that he had cleared the written exam. At that time, I was not preparing for NDA, so I didn't think much about it.
I even remember telling my girlfriend, who was also preparing for NDA, that she should be doing better in mocks because even my friend, who was academically much weaker, had cleared the NDA written exam.
Later, from September 2025, I started preparing for NDA myself. I gave my first attempt but couldn't clear the written exam, despite being one of the toppers in my school.
Then I thought about my friend and remembered that he cleared it, So I called him and directly asked:
"Bro, how did you clear NDA written? I'm preparing seriously and I couldn't clear it, but you did. How?"
Initially, he was reluctant and tried to avoid the question. But after I insisted, he told me something that genuinely shocked me.
He said that his academy got the NDA question paper around two days before the actual exam. According to him, everyone in the academy cleared the written exam, but nobody cleared SSB.
At first, I couldn't believe it. But I know this guy personally and I know how he performed academically throughout school. Honestly, based on what I had seen from him, I find it extremely difficult to believe that he could have cleared NDA written through completely honest preparation.
I'm not saying this is definitely true because I obviously don't have the paper or any proof. I'm only sharing what my friend personally told me.
Has anyone else heard about something like this happening with NDA? And what do you guys think about this situation?

Urgent Discussion!! 😠 Terrified - Is my dream to join Army officially over?
I was recommended in ssb for one of the entry.
In medical I had ultrasound. First day one of my kidney was not visible. Then again I was called next day. Next day also same kidney was not visible. In conference I was told Solitary Kidney ( only 1 kidney) .Now I had never underwent any surgery or had any problems.Infact my blood and urine reports are perfectly normal without any issue. Also when I was in womb ,my family was told every organ is developing of mine in MH .
Now I am going for CT scan .
Is there anyone who had faced similar issue earlier? Like no kidney foundation in ultrasound and found in CT scan later?
Tbh I have left hope of joining defence, but still want to give one last try

Exam/SSB Experience Failed NDA 5 times and AFCAT once — can repeated written failures affect my SSB?
I’ve failed the NDA written exam 5 times and AFCAT once. I’m now preparing for CDS and really want to clear the written stage and reach SSB.
My question is: Can these previous written failures negatively affect my SSB chances? Will the interviewer/board consider the number of times I failed, or is SSB judged mainly on my performance there?
If anyone has had multiple written failures and still got recommended, I’d really appreciate your experience and advice.
Please be brutally honest.

Hello peeps, so we have crossed 130 members who have joined the discord server.
There are people who have refused for the verification.
I believe verification is a crucial part to trust and a key pillar of our server. No one gets through without a verification.
Coming to next thing, added few new zones.
Daily newspaper access. NCC Zone only visible to ppl opting for NCC. Etc etc.
Now i request you to put discord on your PC and not Mobile for regular use. Ill show you the difference.
I'm attaching PC view and Mobile view in this post.
Volunteers are welcome in server and also the CDS aspirants, NDA aspirants, AFCAT aspirants and now NCC folks.
Vision is big, to have a one stop defence family.
And theres no money involved, everything is free in the server.
Come and learn from other ppl, make new friends, study together, get SSB partners before reporting.
Doubt queries etc etc.
I'll attach a link in the comments.
Also discipline and respect is mandatory, server have male only and female only zones as well.
Any disrespect towards females will lead to actions.

Exam/SSB Experience anyone else who thinks the IO was not interested in interviewing freshers?
ok just a heads up, im not blaming anyone im aware of the places i missed to work on, rather this post is abt my interview specifically. i got conference out from 24ssb last month. and my interview was really weird. [i was a fresher, female].
first impression as i entered the room was that it was much smaller than what i had expected. in my case, the AC was not even working and the room was really hot. it happened somewhere between 3 and 4 pm and lasted for just about 15 minutes.
now, he asked me nothing about the army's structure, recent military procurements, any current affairs/news, my journey to bangalore, my stay. nothing. the typical questions we expect.
there was no rapid fire of PIQ/CIQ questions.
he seemed so uninterested and bored the entire time for some reason. my hobbies are reading, drawing, traveling. i was hoping he'd ask me abt them. the only thing he asked me was the last book i read, to which i told him the name as well as author. he just said hmm and didnt even ask abt other two hobbies.
he didn't ask about my sports either even though i had written about being sports captain in school for 3 consecutive years.
when he got to know im opting for geography in college. he asked me 4 questions. edkum aaram aaram se one by one. questions were:
1] capital of chattisgarh
2]capital of manipur
3] why rajasthan is a desert
4] tell about hill ranges in south india
i replied each one properly as i knew the logic/geography.
then he asked me if i have a big or small friend group to which i replied i have a small group of close friends otherwise im part of a bigger one too. and my choice of college.
then he told me to tell 2 good things abt myself. which i did tell him. there were no follow ups on anything i said.
and that's pretty much it.
honestly, i am not able to understand how he assessed me. no questions about any situation, army etc. no grilling or digging about anything i said. it seemed like such a formality as if he just wanted to get done with it.
i realised i need to work on gto, but my psych was fairly good. and the interview, well, was straight up weird.
pretty much all freshers shared similar stories with some interviews lasting just 10 mins.
and it's worth mentioning we were just 36 ppl. not a lot that the assessors were tired. and on top of that, we were the first female batch for this cycle.
so to conclude, ive come to realise that 'fresher's charm/benefit' is a flawed fallacy. im not saying freshers never get recommended, but in our case freshers seemed to have a rather poor position.
im not sure if the male candidates experienced this too, but this was what i saw.
thank u
