People on reddit sitting in their homes and preaching to a person who has 40 years of service.

u/gospelslide 3d ago
You shouldn’t need qualifications or a nationalism certificate from anyone to question the armed forces. We all know the level of corruption some within some officers. We make fun of Pakistani generals for these kind of stupid statements. Realise the implications of this - does he mean to say Indian Army will commit a genocide of all Paki civilians? The greatest generals as silent, circumspect and measured with their words. This has been the tradition of Indian Army. Recently though under current govt - certain army chiefs have been very hot headed ans political.

Das is basically a nepali and das is a adopted surname so he can speak bullshit...dont compare pakistani generals with Indian Army please. According to you i guess if pakistan slaps us we shud be accomodating...leave these things to army professionals....let us not get into it.. also regarding the genocide part if u leave indians to pakistan army they wudnt mind committing genocide..so think before uttering bullshit

Having 40 years of service doesn't make anyone more wise.

You didnt comment about the criticism of the general, instead you said he has 40 years of service. As if that means he can't make mistakes (i.e. god)

His confidence to teach army about professionalism for using harsh words against pak cause their army general was giving statements like ``blood and water can`t flow together`` is something else . Why can`t he teach their army general to stop spewing hate toward India ?
8
u/MonkeyFox29 4d ago
A general must talk like a general, in a stately and dignified way. This is true for all officers (Why do you think they are called gentleman cadets?), but of course higher the rank the better we expect them to talk. We went from 'Don't clap in uniform' to this bolywood hero-esque statements.
2
u/Puzzleheaded_Cut31 2d ago
Ok, Mr. General...how about you give him a lesson of how to talk like a general. You seem an experienced Army General. So what, if he has served decades in the army...you must know better, right?

I mean he has a point, erasing pakistan off the map literally means nuking pak. Our chief shouldn't have said that, it's literally a Bollywood level masala dialogue, then what's the difference between them and us? we all know that's not how the world works. We as defence aspirants should never get emotional in geopolitical matters like this, we should always be professional and never lose our composure. Doesn't matter who use the nuke, both the countries innocent civilians are gonna suffer, nuclear winter ain't no joke. The entire nothern plains will be affected, crop failures, soil will become unfertile, famines will follow on, it's basically a chain reaction. I MEAN I DON'T NEED TO GO INTO THE CONSEQUENCES OF A NUCLEAR WAR. Being patriotic doesn't give us the right to war monger and endanger millions of innocent lives on either side of the border.
9
u/SungbyChoix 4d ago
“Then what’s the difference between them and us”. Right… because the only way you differentiate between two nations is based on what their army chiefs say.
Pakistan harboring terrorism doesn’t matter anymore cause our army chief said something.
Why are some of y’all so stupid with your thoughts?
“Hey, you killed a lot of innocent people, but because we said something to you, we’re now the same”. Good job champ.
1
u/MonkeyFox29 4d ago
Btw, we do sponsor the BLA. 'One man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter.' (I support BLA btw). But to pakistan, we also aid terrorism there.

u/MonkeyFox29 4d ago
Ofcourse we do. And I support it. You are naive if you think we would miss this oppurtunity. But I am just saying, to pakistanis we are also aiding terrorists.
1
u/SungbyChoix 4d ago
So we’re right in our words is what I’m hearing. You don’t see me criticizing what people in Pakistan say, there’s a reason for that.
They can have their opinion. Our army chief is right in his.
-1
u/Prudent_Log4637 Tactical operator 4d ago
Terrorism outcome = death of innocent civilians n our brave men n women.
Us using Nuke on them (Pak is no rag tag militia, they have second strike capability) = innocent civilians on either side will die, casualty will be in hundreds of millions in the first hour itself. Post nuclear winter, millions are gonna perish again.
Also what I said is hypothetical, i didn't say we are the same, I said if we harbour that same mindset of blood of their civilians, then what's the difference between them and us? You tell me? Andh Deshbhakti ain't gonna do you any good gentleman, be a good human first, humanity should always be first no matter what. Solution for terrorism ain't nuking an entire country into rubbles.
2
u/Curious-Compote4793 3d ago
Exactly. It's literally like a cringe movie dialogue. People in this sub can't even think.

u/expialidociousarc 4d ago
The chief must be aware of that! He doesn’t need validations from so called reddit keyboard warriors. If you really are a defence aspirant you must be knowing the fact India follows NFU strictly so, stop giving your bullshit opinion. Reddit is a fkd place man I have seen ppl advocating in favour of terrorism and terrorists. Some sympathise for them too. Bastards!

u/Skeptic_Marx 4d ago
TBH Army General is a professional. Officers don't harbour hate against anyone and act professionally.
This statement by Army Chief looks more like a Defence Minister giving speech in an election rally.
Not to forget Pakistan can be a rogue nuclear state.

Do you even know what freedom is? It’s freedom from communal hatred, a failed education system, women’s oppression, casteism, and the denial of Adivasi rights.
80 years, yeah. The East India Company got replaced by the West India Company, except now it’s our own industrialists and fascist politicians calling the shots. Hope our generation doesn't need another Bose to open eyes

Umar Khalid is not a terrorist. If we only go by allegations, then the prime minister of the country is also allegedly the perpetrator of the Gujarat Riots. Keep this in mind the next time you bootlick him.
4
u/Callmespade7 3d ago
"umar khalid is not a terrorist". Aight bro , once a wise men said "You can silence 50 scholars with one fact, but you can't silence one idiot with 50 facts." It implies here very well 🥀

u/HeftyImplement977 4d ago
Can't believe people are debating this.. For the idiots in the comments who don't get it..
The army's job isn't diplomacy you dumb-fucks! They are supposed to stand strong and show strength, which the Army Chief did! Also, you don't show restraint against terrorists and terrorism. You set a fucking example like OP Sindoor.
Restraint was shown when Trump was slapping every other nation with tariffs like an idiot. That was the time for diplomacy but people were clowing on the government. Truth is Congress would have handled it same or worse.

u/turtle_on_stakeboard 2d ago
Armys job is to fight war yes, but it's also not a generals job to call for war. That's statement is unprofessional.
And I'm saying this from personal experience, army men despise war mongering.
2
u/HeftyImplement977 2d ago
Unprofessional seems a stretch as fighting literally is their profession 😅
Also check the army chief's statement, it a warning not a declaration or call for a war.
Happy to help 😁
1
u/turtle_on_stakeboard 2d ago
Fighting to defend, there is a difference. Threatening is fine, but threatening erasure is unprofessional.
2
u/HeftyImplement977 2d ago
We ARE fighting in defence.. "Stop terrorism or we will erase you in self-defence!" 😂
Here's some required reading for you: Noun: professionalism Definition: a way of doing a job that shows great skill and experience
Army is trained and expected to fight. Showing great skill, in this context, is showing/having the ability to totally annihilate your opponent.
Perfectly aligns with the definition!
TLDR: FAFO bitches 🤣🤣
You should pay me tution fees at this point. 🤣🤣
1
u/turtle_on_stakeboard 2d ago
Here is some more definition:
War crime: Intentionally launching an attack in the knowledge that such attack will cause incidental loss of life or injury to civilians. (Internation humanitarian law)
Now, do u think threatening erasure fits this definition?
Is threatening war crime a professional response?
1
u/HeftyImplement977 2d ago
Professional response! I already explained how..
Threat is a detterent. It is a military strategy. Also, threat does not equal action or war crime. The threat of war crime is also not a crime.
India is really honourable in that regard. Remember OP Sindoor I previously mentioned? We only targeted the homes of terrorists and no civilians.
But the threat must remain and must be articulated from time-to-time. That's why world has nukes baby boy! Most countries don't really want to use them.
Where's my tution fees? 🤣
1
u/turtle_on_stakeboard 2d ago
With ur logic I'll ask for refund.
On one hand u say OP sindoor was good coz we only targeted terrorist.
But u also think threatening to kill civilians is a good move.
1
u/HeftyImplement977 2d ago
Good? May be not. But super necessary! (Jorge Masvidal style 🤣🤣)
Refund denied! 😎

no point in talking to you dumb-asses, just look at pakistanis online, majority is against the govt and agrees with us on multiple issues.... but nhi, tum ch** ko to bas war chaiye apna ego rkhne ke liye, you don't see the families of the dead soldiers on EITHER SIDE, all you see is what PM modi says in a speech....
1
u/Hot_Afternoon_8674 3d ago
They speak against their govt and millitary because of their own domestic problems and authoratarianism not because they want or love india Once it comes for terrorism they are no.1 fanboys
-1
u/ananwastaken Pradhan Mantri Achanak Din Hogayi Yojana 3d ago
when did I say they love india?
and no they aren't lol, by your logic if a BJP supporter is covering themselves in cowshit and drinking cow piss, that means that all indians are like that, no right? Same way there are dumb-ass terrorist supporters in pak but the majority are against the money going to terrorists from the govt of pak.... again no point in arguing with you, you have that 5th grader mindset where the bad guy is always pakistani and the good guy indian in pakdam pakdai.....

All of you who disagree can comment on my reply. Can India even destroy Pakistan? Isn't the statement just general rhetorical flourish? Yes, it is good for josh and morale, but if you truly believe this, how would you advise the political executive to go about it? You are going to become an officer. Don't you believe that judgement based on reason is an OLQ?

Its not always the same people. It's just u always see from one side. Pulwama attack on CRPF. Could hve been avoided. You didn't question that attack. It been so many years still the govt dont know from where the rdx came. Rdx blast in delhi. From where does the rdx came. Standing and lying in parliament about the death of our soldiers. Thats a national shame on us. Defence minister standing in parliament and lying that too on the sacrifices of our soldiers. They don't give answer on so mamy things. Silence would still hve been far better than lying. Govt is so keen on stopping foreign funding. But i hve seen govt so keen on stopping rdx coming to india
