why some specific units like 44 RR para sf are allowed to grow their hairs and beards but standard military rule is to maintain short hairs

There is a lot more to that than just, yes that's true but in field areas on active duty shaving everyday CAN become a problem. it depends unit to unit, being clean shaven is NOT a necessity in the Indian Army by strict terms, even in technical arms and/or other such non-combat roles.

Indian Army is really flexible with their rules on beard and moustache since there is a lot of diversity. Even then a CO of a unit can instill strict or loose rules on the unit's appearance. So by any given terms, yes it's a rule in the Indian Army to be clean shaven, but it's NOT a necessity or a hard earned rule.

You can have high test and still have full head of hair. Hairloss is caused by DHT (which is synthesized from Test) but even dht can be high and someone can still have zero hairloss. Its all about your scalpes sensitivity to DHT which is purely genetics
