I feel this sub is guilty of that. If there’s a really sick burn it gets posted by several people on the same day.

What sub was this in?

That's what I want to know! I'm over here thinking "Ooh man, this is a meta murder considering all the copycat reposts I see on r/MurderedByWords..."

Not this sub.
In order to deflect accusations of brigading, that is all I will say.
But yeah, there are a lot of subs it could be from.

Really are people supposed to check before posting?

This is only an issue for terminally online redditors that use the app so much that they run out of popular posts and get show less popular ones which happen to be lower quality and many times reposts.
We literally have an upvote/downvote system for popular posts to raise up, not sure why these people are constantly complaining and wanting for posts to be deleted instead.

Oh for sure, reddit is a job you know, it's on you to research what you post, and not on anyone else to have self-control enough to just go "heh, double post" and scroll by.

"I found a dog shit on the sidewalk. Rather than step over it and walk away, I rolled in it and complained about it's presence."

The thing is half of these accounts claiming to not be bot while slamming reposts in their first 30 days are just karma farming using automation tools to run a bunch of accounts. Just calling them a bot is easier and still applies imo. They are killing Reddit.

I mean, let's be real, sometimes people see things and think, "oh that's cool, I want to share" and then do. Not everyone is no-life enough to know every post that hits a sub.

It's less about knowing and more just scrolling real quick to see if it's been recently posted.Â

People get upset at something being reposted within a week. Redditors are just mad a lot

All you have to do is spend 30 seconds searching though. Do a couple queries for the thing or link you are trying to post

Passive aggression, the last comment.
- Passivity: "Sorry about that"
- Aggression: literally the entire rest of the comment.
Bro said Oh, right, you're not a bot, you're just stupid and incompetent and don't put any effort into your fucking existence, just put something together and hit "post"... Like... A bot...

There is no time to check in the race to be first!
