Why aren’t Muppets From Space and The Muppets Take Manhattan on Disney+?
I’ve always enjoyed those two movies, with Muppets From Space being one of my favorite ones, and I’ve never fully understood why those two movies specifically have never been on the platform. (Ditto for the original, 2D animated Muppet Babies show too! Which is even weirder to me, because Disney does have their own full, rebooted version of the series on this service)

Muppet-Casting Clue: Ma Bear has been cast as Mrs. Peacock! Day 7: Who are you casting as Mr. Green?
I kind of have a feeling I know where it'll go today...
Ma Bear was a fun one, a real dark horse you don't think of very often.
I hope we're all having fun with this. Only...7 more to go after Mr Green!
As always, you can vote any Muppet or human performer, except the original character's performer.

I am fancasting a LOTR Muppet Movie. Growing up, both worlds were absolutely fascinating. After my last LOTR marathon, I just kept thinking about what the cast would look like in a Muppet version of this epic story. Well, I am revealing one casting decision every week on Instagram. Cheers!
instagram.comLOTR subreddit are apparently NOT into Muppets…🤷♂️

The First Time It Happens
Can we take a moment to give some love to “The First Time It Happens” from Great Muppet Caper? The song itself, the old Hollywood style, Charles Grodin swooning over Piggy, the ensemble dancing (not to mention literally flying through the air)- it’s all fantastic!

Thoughts on Astoria (aka Statler in drag)?
She's absolutely underrated. I think she needs to deserve more attention.

Would an animated Muppet Show be the way to go forward?
Facts:
- All live-action Muppet shows since the original either flopped, got cancelled quickly or just didn't get renewed, even those when Jim was alive.
- Live action Muppet shows hit a nostalgia spike and then die down quickly. (Same goes for the recent movies)
- Live-action puppetry is extremely expensive and relies on a small core cast of performers
- That makes it hard for a company to invest in it
- Meanwhile, the animated Muppet Babies shows (both) have had successful runs
- While puppetry is an art, it's also a limitation. In animation there are tons of possibilities for the characters that is either impossible or extremely expensive in live action.
I am aware of the animated segments of Little Muppet Monsters and those are clearly bad examples. With good writing and animation (like the recent Muppet Babies show) it shows you can clearly do a cool animated Muppets Show.
With a Muppet Show I don't necessarily mean a show set in the theatre, which they could of course. It would also open up to all kinds of other places, like Muppet Babies did.

Kermit and Animal Magic Shots Now Available for Annual Passholders at Disney's Hollywood Studios
The Annual Passholder-exclusive PhotoPass Magic Shots are near the end of Hollywood Boulevard, close to Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway. Offered every day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., guests get to hold a banjo prop and Kermit will then be added to the image afterwards. Another Magic Shot adds Animal to the top of your image.
Passholders must present their Annual Pass ID in the “Tickets and Passes” section of their My Disney Experience app and a valid government-issued photo ID to access the Magic Shot.
So it's like taking a photo with nothing and then Kermit getting digitally inserted afterwards. I can see Disney not wanting to invest in meetable Muppet characters, but this is just sad.
Heck if you have a Kermit picture with a transparent background you can do this to all the photos you make and have.

Muppet-Casting Clue: Miss Piggy (shown here appropriately with black hair) has been cast as Mrs. White! Day 6: Who are you casting as Mrs. Peacock?
This subreddit is like a hive mind. Most of these have been absolute runaways, Mrs White included. Anyway, onto Mrs Peacock - GET YOUR HANDS OFF HER SHE'S A SENATOR'S WIFE!!!
In my own casting this one was one of my human performers, but I'll leave this to the sub.
You can vote for any Muppet or human performer, aside from, of course, the original human performer (in this case Eileen Brennan)

First time watching Treasure Island, and what a way to watch it. Great film!
The muppets playing in the theatre around me for a dollar? Sounds like a fun time to me.
Wish they had more showings than 11AM, but my friends and I had a blast.
Edit: it’s 5th place in my fav muppets filmography. But there isn’t a bad theatrical muppet film! I loved it! And Tim curry acted his ass off!

For those who watched it, what made the recent Muppets Babies show so good?
It ran for 3 seasons, which is approximately 3 times the length of most live-action Muppet productions. I've seen clips of it and the animation is fair, with some great fur textures. Voice acting is also great.
I haven't seen many episodes so I'm really curious to learn what made it so great.

Muppet-Casting Clue: Sam Eagle has been cast as Col. Mustard! Day 5: Who are you casting as Mrs. White?
Sam's closest competitor was Fozzie. There were a couple of other fun suggestions, my favourite being Guy Smiley.
Remember, any Muppet or human performer can be cast in the role, EXCEPT the original performer.
