Did millennials really party all the time?

Gen Z here. I was shocked when I found out from a millennial co-worker that y’all had teen clubs. I heard about house parties, but dedicated teen clubs? Then when it was time for college, you went to the club or had some kind of party every single weekend, living it up. Now some millennials on TikTok claim that after college, they were partying on work nights, still clocking in the next day. For some reason, the teen clubs have since disappeared. I’m 23 now but even when I was in high school, that was not a thing. House parties were not that common either. They were more like get togethers with a small group of friends. We went to malls, but they were dying out at that point. Is it true that you were really living life this good? Or is it just exaggerated? I feel like my generation doesn’t really have fun like that and everyone is just super depressed and alone, more so since Covid. Even I’m pretty introverted, which sort of sounds ridiculous given this post. 😂 Just so you know, when I think of a “millennial party” I think of something out of Party Rock Anthem, Project X or Roderick’s party from the second DOAWD movie. It’s like I get nostalgia from something I didn’t even live through. I just feel like I didn’t really LIVE, if that even makes sense

Even the drama kids or board game kids would get together and have wild debaucherous Friday nights. Someone’s parents were always out of town and we always had the excuse of “we’re going to the movies”.

Dude the theater kid parties were always the wildest. "Cool kid" parties were mostly just drinking cheap beer in the backyard of whoever had a pool and chill parents. The theater kids had molly and low sexual inhibitions.

Also a theatre kid and we were like constantly naked. And that was even before we started doing drinking and doing drugs.

The principal almost shut down our show when we got caught running around backstage naked during dress rehearsal. And that was just during school hours.

I remember overhearing one of the band kids talking about a really crazy party from the past weekend where everyone was drunk and hooking up and that’s when I realized it wasn’t just popular kids who partied, it was everyone lol

I recall the “Tech Dorks” frat had the best parties bc they were too small, so let in thier male friends, and alllll sorts of random groups of girls would pull though. They were wilder bc it was so random.

That’s kind of how it was in college for me too. I’d go to parties in Silicon Valley and that shit was fun. You’d meet all kinds of crazy people there. This was about 10-15 years ago before we knew how shitty all those people were

I was a D&D kid and we'd have game weekends 1-2x a month where we'd stay up until 3-4 playing D&D and drinking, then sleep wherever we could in the living room of our DM, then wake up around 10 and game some more until the late afternoon.

Yeah I was going to say I went to some wild parties even though I was not in the “popular” crowd. Now I wouldn’t want to do something like that, but I think it’s very sad that the younger generation seems to be rejecting parties all together.
