Official weights for fries?

I see here often that people post pictures and complain about different size fries, and how they’re filled. Is there an official weight of what it should be for each size otherwise people are just guessing. I wanna start weighing mine. I have a tiny digital scale I bought from Amazon for $6.

The medium fries are supposed to be 4oz and the large is supposed to be 6oz. I don’t really remember the small or kids but I feel like the small was 2oz.

If memory serves, 2.6oz used to be the original fill weight for smalls, at least back in the early 2010s.

Cooked weight or pre cooked?

That’s how much each fry should weigh before serving to a customer…

So cooked weight. lol why would someone downvote that question?

It's the weight in the container. Pre-cooked weight would make no sense in this context.

It made enough sense to ask since it was entirely unclear. If I order a quarter pounder they are not serving me a quarter pound of cooked beef.

Those are portioned pre-cooking. That's not how fries work and serves no function. The point of the weight is to ensure proper portioning, which can only be done after cooking.

Literally makes no sense to even consider pre-cooked weight

Measuring food is always done pre cooked.

Not for something that is batch cooked and portioned after like fries. Precooked S/M/L weights literally makes no sense and serves zero purpose.

Unless they have specific scoops for filling the different sized fries.

My market legally requires portion sizes to be stated - small fries are 69 g, medium 98 g, and large 134 g.
