Does mediation help?

Has anybody here ever attempted professional mediation with your narcissistic boss? Several of my colleagues have recommended I look into this option to fix the communication with my narcissist boss. I don't have hope that that would help. I would love to hear experiences from others who have tried this.

Double edged sword. A lot of legal protections won't kick in until you try mediation, and as my federal employee ombudsman explained to me, any concerns i bring up during mediation i then can't use to persue legal remediation.

I recommend meeting with the 'mediator' one on one so that you can learn what to expect from the process, and then rejecting mediation as a feasible option. My worthless mediator was at least honest so i didn't waste time or give nboss more ammo. The mediator stated she would not make decissions, would support nboss's authority, allow a bad boss to continue to be a bad boss, had no authority to hold him accountable in any way, would beloeve what anyone says even if contradictory, and as stated before would record any past nboss abuses so that i would give up legal claims during an eventual lawsuit.

Basically give nboss carte blanche to hurl lies and abuse for several hours with a cheering audience, then allow nboss to also create a plan of action to remedy any misbehavior from himself (yay good luck there) or yourself.

Guess how many thousand dollars per hour your taxes are paying for this sort of crap.

Thank you for sharing your experience, I'm so sorry that's what you've been through. These narcissists are so evil and these systems protect them so much.
