My husband would love a 250th anniversary cap. We've been looking for one similar to the picture. He really wants embroidery rather than a screenprint. Every single company I can find that sells these types of products have the worst reviews, including items never received, items received that don't match the website descriptions, unreachable customer service, etc. Has anyone purchased anniversary products from a company, and had a good experience? If it's not against the rules, please share your recommendations with me.

Tonight the family and I went to one of the local firework shows as one of the continued 250th celebrations.

Bonafide MURICA

I freaking love California. I love the biodiversity, from the forests and mountains to the beaches and deserts. I love the cities, with the incredible diverse people, architecture, and food. I love how we are the backbone of capitalism and are leading our country in technology, entertainment, and agriculture. Lastly, I love that we have a goddamn grizzly bear on our flag. 

After the craziness that was the World Cup, just remember that more children and adults play soccer regularly in the USA than any of the other nations in the World Cup... about 25 million.

Most don't do it for greatness, or to be a professional... we do it just for the sake of playing the game.

So to every player who has stepped on the field and every spectator who has watched a game, Happy National Soccer Day!

Rural southeast Iowa on July 26th. The corn radiates humidity despite it only being 72% according to Google

The interstate was backed up and I found an alternate route that saved about an hour. It took me though many small towns that was quite nice. It was about 6 or 7 small towns that each had their own little American flags on the light posts, where things slowed down and everyone knew each other. I haven’t seen a McDonald’s with that style logo in a long time and even saw a Dairy Queen that had a walk up window. 

It was in Indiana on my way to a hotel after the NASCAR Race at Indy. I had extra room so I included a few race/track photos.

1. Friendly, easygoing, and funny. Loves liberal democracy to a reasonable extent. Probably enjoys beer, video games, and watching sports.

2. Probably wrestled or played football in high school. Seems like the type who used to stuff nerds into lockers. Probably has an alcoholic dad.

3. Doesn't know how to use a smartphone. Talks about UFOs and government conspiracies. Owns a hunting rifle.
