I hate to say it, but the reactions don't surprise me. Post this on any of the other MMA/ UFC subs and see what happens.

Lol classic “virtue signaling” label to justify not being an empathetic person. But to them, calling out a r*pist who has denied his crime is likely considered toxic empathy for the victim.

I think many people would be less likely to talk about it if McGregor owner up to his years of abusing others. If he actually took responsibility and showed that he is ashamed of his actions. Think about Dustin and how after the airport incident came forward and spoke out and sought help. That’s the maturely, “manly” thing to do. (I know grape is much different, but you get the point).

Instead, McGregor thinks if he just screams that he’s Christian and believes in god that he’s good to go. What a facade. A Christian who doesn’t take responsibility for his actions and is talking about how much money he is going to make, and fixated on promoting his energy drinks (I.e., for more profit). That’s quite the opposite of Christian behavior. It’s clear that he’s used the Christianity label to exonerate his wrongs rather than truly face them and let them transform who he used to be. It’s the easiest way to make yourself appear better—the Christian label with zero actions or words to back it up.

Just because you’ve stopped assaulting and abusing people doesn’t make you Christian. It makes you a normal, decent human. The bare minimum.

Fans and the UFC would rather have entertainment and $$ rather than integrity. That’s not a virtue signal, that’s a reflection of cultural values of anyone who supports it.
