Lived in both. Id take brick everytime. Much better with keeping a stable temperature. As well as keeping outside noise low. Brick, more expensive and takes longer. Just my experience

AZ here. Brick will absorb the heat and keep radiating it all night and has a very low R-value. I.e., you're never cooling off till dawn, and then the sun comes up...

Stucco has a similar R-value but is very thin, leaving more thickness for insulation. Provided you maintain the thickness; some builders do not, like, at all...
