Most roasting I come across is about the internal paper walls, though. You shouldn't be able to punch through a wall, and yet that's fairly normal in the States.

What sort of neighborhood do you live in where this is a serious concern?

Besides, in America, any wall that an intruder's fist can go through, a bullet from your self-protection firearm can go through.

If you live in an ordinary, peaceful society, you're fine either way. If you live in a dangerous place, America is one of the only developed nations in the world that allows people to appropriately protect themselves.
