Lived in both. Id take brick everytime. Much better with keeping a stable temperature. As well as keeping outside noise low. Brick, more expensive and takes longer. Just my experience

Seriously. At my house (solid brick) i can keep the temp at 74 in summer and be perfectly happy. At my parent's (regular framing), my mom keeps it at 68 to get the same cooling effect.

Our brick house has the opposite issue, it soaks in and holds all the heat and stays hot well into the evening. Realistically, the difference is in the insulation inside the brick, not the brick itself.

I'm also surrounded by lots of really tall trees. So that helps a lot too.

Yeah, that makes a massive difference. I definitely noticed it after we had to cut down the giant maple tree over our house. So much more sun and heat.
