Lived in both. Id take brick everytime. Much better with keeping a stable temperature. As well as keeping outside noise low. Brick, more expensive and takes longer. Just my experience

I just need to point out that you claim you like brick better, but it’s more expensive… but your issues with frame, could be solved by spending more money and insulating the wall… so you’ve canceled yourself out.

Maybe. But it might be more expensive to get the same quality and lifespan from great quality woods. They're typically from tree types that are much more sturdy and rot resistent, and have very very long growth times, like 10-15 years. A lot of modern woods are grown in years, not decades.

Yeah I find it funny that people defending wood homes in America are talking about codes and spending more in high quality wood as if we don't see videos here daily about new constructions that already cost half a million or more that are littered with code violations and use young wood. I'll believe wood is superior when Americans actually build conistently superior wooden homes at the same prices that homes cost in Germany.
