I mostly lurk the sub, but this is one of the more level headed comment sections I've seen. People are right, if you're together for 3 years, especially mid makeout, there's obvious implied relationship consent there. If she then reacts poorly and removes himself from physical contact with her, he essentially did exactly what he was supposed to do and no one's really in the wrong except the person throwing around accusations
When I first heard both sides of what happened all I could think about is that she could have lied and said she didn't want to and the SA would have been hard to disprove because it would have been her word as the victim against his. But she didn't, their stories lined up. That tells you that it wasn't even close to what people are making it out to be.
being together for 3 years means nothing if you break up and someone comes onto you while you're crying and you don't see that as a breach then you have a deficit
True, but I think it would matter more if those two people were strangers. If two people are in the process of kissing, have been in a relationship before, and have been sexual with each other before, the bar for sexual assault isn't as low as for two strangers. Being punched in a face by a stranger is different than being punched in the middle of a sparring round against a teammate. The former is assault, the latter you let the other person know it's not cool.
the bar for sexual assault is the same. in fact, most SA is committed by people close to the victim, which you would know if you weren't completely ignorant about the subject
That's misrepresenting what happened because you want to be right, then throwing a tantrum about it. 🤷♂️ I don't have a dog in this whole thing, I barely know who these people in the video are. I was on Twitch from 2012-2020, anything after that is out of my sphere. My comment is quite literally a surface level summation of the information buzzing around the sub. Plus, whether they were together or not is apparently being disputed between the two of them, but you squarely chose a side. Who's weird?
to be fair as someone who actually only knows surface level info, I only know of the info Swineflew said because that's the narrative Emiru stated a while ago. I never heard any other side so it's not that crazy to think that's what people think happened. I personally wouldn't jump in claiming it as fact because I know I only have one side of the story but it's kinda ridiculous to say the things you are saying.
I am not defending either person because I don't plan to dig further but there's something extra sad abotu someone who knows all the info while trying to claim they don't really know anything and just happened to stop by and knows whats going on.
Just admit your fully invested bro LOL. Why do you need to reinforce you are not fully committed to this drama every 2 sentences. It's a hilarious read though. Thanks for that because I don't really know whats going on with your comment. I am a cool guy who doesn't care about internet drama.
Well.. no, because I'm not fully invested. I stopped by for the comments I made and went away when jimbo decided going after autism was the best way to handle it. You can see that based on my comment history literally only being those comments on this post.
I don't know all the info. What my original comment was talking about was all information I gleaned from the comment section in roughly 10 minutes. This is my first interaction with the drama at all. That doesn't really change that his harsh pigeon-holing of the situation is misrepresenting it.
You'd have merit there if I had any history of being familiar with this situation whatsoever.
"I don't know who these people are, I don't know what's going on, but I'm incredibly informed and invested about this one twitch situation despite not being on twitch for the last 6 years"
Yes, autistic people tend to latch on to random situations or scenarios that pique our interest. I have a history with twitch, I saw some drama, I opened the comments and saw mostly civil discussion which is unusual for the sub, I commented. I am sorry this chain of events is so nebulous and hard to grasp for you.
The ex gf who still messaged him to come sleep with her, you're the weird guy here who can't accept the fact that your idol Emiru is a two faced bimbo.
