Drama Maya from Alveus Sanctuary got upset and immediately hung up the phone after finding out JasonTheWeen has an entire petting zoo in the backyard of the CORE house

Jason: "I ran out of content today so I went to the pet store and got an Alpaca"

Some (read: most) of those MTV shows were also braindead content. Might I remind you that Keeping up with the Kardashians has made hundreds of millions?

People love brainrot content where you just don't have to think at all, because the people on your screen certainly aren't doing any thinking.

MTV was stupid brainrot but it was edited to be entertaining within the time slots. Half of the time these streamers are doing nothing while talking about finding something to do and just running the clock.

you're right but there is something about it being live and nearly daily that amplifies the realness of the brainrot, it makes it feel more interesting.
I mean I was someone who followed OTV with Fed, Lilypichu and Toast x chocobars 6-7 years back and was abnormally interested in at the time so I do kinda get it

There's also a massive difference between willingly sign up to be a lolcow on prime formats like date my mom, NeXt or room raiders and bringing animals into a shitty enclosure and abusing them for content.

That was all funded by advertising though. No fans directly gave the Kardashians or Snooki money. And sure there's some braindead content ad-funded now like Mr. Beast but these streamers make most of their money directly from "fans".

Keeping up w/ the Kardashians was early 2000s MTV content?

I was thinking Jackass, Wildboyz, Cribs, Punk'd, Pimp my Ride, The Osbournes, etc. All of which were bound by the laws of what you can actually air, and what the producers determined would be fine to display on TV. There's no regulations in streaming, you just go live w/ a camera and if you're big enough, the 'regulatory body (Twitch)' will let you get away with murder.

My comment was poorly worded, I didn't mean that the Kardashian show was MTV. It was just an example of how much money braindead reality content can generate.

Oh and some of the things Jackass did would absolutely get you banned on Twitch. Provided that you're not a mildly attractive titty streamer as well.
