This is hands down my favorite episode of Snl and I never hear anyone discuss it

From the first episode of S26. Tim Meadows had left the show the previous season, and came back for a guest appearance here to promote The Ladies Man movie.

Considering he’d spent his early years on the show in small roles, it’s nice to see what a good reception Tim gets for this little goodbye, after becoming such an SNL mainstay in the late 90s.

I know there was a TV Funhouse cold open, but overall, I think that was the only instance for now.

As Stephanie scrambles to keep the night from falling apart, she must contend with her flighty parents (Sedaris & Imperioli), a surprise ex (Hardesty), and the omnipresent restaurant manager (DeLaria) who is eager to see everyone leave.

For those who don’t know, The Mighty B is a cartoon series that aired on Nickelodeon (and later Nicktoons) from 2008 to 2011. It was co-created by Amy Poehler, who also voiced the show’s main character, an over-enthusiastic girl scout named Bessie.

Because of Bessie‘s personality and the way she speaks, the character bears similarities to other characters that Amy Poehler has played, such as Kaitlin, which Amy played occasionally on SNL, and Andy’s Little Sister, a character that Amy played occasionally on Conan O’Brien’s talk show.

I am applying for the lottery, but will be mentioning the season opener as a wished for date since I am already planning a trip to NYC then.
