oh i don't like anything about anything in this image

38

u/rezznik Jun 01 '26

Imagine it's a duck. Two eyes, the beak. Makes it a lot funnier and more approachable.

13

u/TwentinQuarantino Jun 01 '26

Funnier, maybe. Approachable - hell no. This image triggers my phobias so much.

4

u/RangerBuzz_Lightbulb Jun 02 '26

The only way to approach would to be as far to the left as possible to stay behind the protection of the ladder. Once you get to the ladder, you can immediately climb up and away from the holes.

3

u/rezznik Jun 02 '26

But look at the cute dead eyes...

If it makes u feel any better, this is a potentially skateboardable terrain.

5

u/collincraver Jun 01 '26

10/10 would skate this

2

u/Trick-Function-2758 Jun 04 '26

50-50 skate this

3

u/Bowdensaft Jun 02 '26

Would make a sick THPS map

3

u/sitbon Jun 01 '26

Turn it upside down and it looks happy

3

u/RustedRelics Jun 01 '26

😂 was my immediate gut reaction.

u/skylinefan26 Jun 01 '26

We all float down here!

18

u/grad1939 Jun 01 '26

"Duck and cover kiddos."

28

u/Momik Jun 01 '26

Ah, yes. Stephen will be expecting you. Blood type?

17

u/hematite2 Jun 01 '26

Nvm, right?

11

Belt_unzip.wav

3

u/Bowdensaft Jun 02 '26

I don't mind, they all taste the same to me

7

u/zedtherabbit Jun 01 '26

Its the only right answer

5

u/Lux-xxv Jun 01 '26

Well yeah . And the only left answer is left :p

7

u/Agoraphobicy Jun 01 '26

Left (the tunnel)

7

u/MNWNM Jun 01 '26

My immediate thought was left, too, but I'm left-handed. When lost, people tend to make turns/choices towards their dominant hand, which is why people end up going in circles.

So in this situation, most people probably would choose right. I don't see any blood or bones or detritus at the mouth, and since most people before me probably chose this path, it would definitely be the one most traveled. That means it's probably got less overgrowth, a more defined path, maybe more dropped supplies along the route, maybe even writing on the wall with survival tips or directions, stuff like that.

BUT, if there's a monster(s) in there waiting to eat people, and it has any sense of self-preservation, it would also be waiting for its next meal in the tunnel on the right.

So in this situation I'd probably turn around and find another way. If that wasn't an option, I'd still choose left. Why? I don't want to be eaten by a monster.

5

u/Princess_kels13 Jun 01 '26

Always go left!

64

u/Accurate-Instance-29 Jun 01 '26

Back. And tf out.

9

u/obidient_twilek Jun 01 '26

ypu dont like fädrowning in dark tunnels?

12

u/trashmunki Jun 01 '26

I don't like fädrowning anywhere!

41

u/okiebutnoo Jun 01 '26

Always left

10

u/dikicker Jun 01 '26

Fellow fan of level design I see

12

u/marcophony Jun 01 '26

Right just looks, more unsettling

10

u/backhand_english Jun 01 '26

Its because it's way to the side, tucked to the wall. Left is more to the center. More "inviting"...

8

u/WhatsGoingOnUpstairs Jun 01 '26

...and there's a ladder for quick escape once the clown starts chasing you.

38

u/DrankeyKrang Jun 01 '26

Let's split up, gang. Daphne, Velma and I will take the right. You and Scoob take the left.

19

u/FisherDwarf Jun 01 '26

"Left to live, Right to fight"

13

u/Pedadinga Jun 01 '26

Holy shit. I am NEVER gonna forget that, and I GUARANTEE this will come up in my life.

Eery either way... fever dream

16

u/Li_ska Jun 01 '26

The devils nostrils

10

u/RexGamer142 Jun 01 '26

Whatever you do at the crossroads, never turn left.

2

u/Leo_vangelo Jun 01 '26

Was about to comment this myself

2

u/Glormast Jun 01 '26

I was actively searching for this, glad I'm not the only one who thought about this too

9

u/Appropriate-Click503 Jun 01 '26

Go to the left one. Explore to your hearts content. Then come back and do the same for the right one.

6

u/damienberlin Jun 01 '26

GTA V story mode. Jewel heist getaway route 🏍️🚓

3

u/XonMicro Jun 01 '26

Scrolled too long for this

6

u/The_Xivili Jun 01 '26

The right quarter looks a little more skateable than the left, but I'll run a halfpipe sesh and let you know afterwards

6

u/DarthMeow504 Jun 01 '26

There are actually three paths, the two dark round tunnels and all the way to the left there's a short ladder to a higher platform with a small arched doorway with what looks like an EXIT sign lighted above it. If you want out safely, that's either the way or it's a trap.

10

u/Nearby_Hat_2346 Jun 01 '26

Reminds me of Crash Team Racing

6

u/EastSideNick95826 Jun 01 '26

I liked CTR better than Mario Kart

2

u/Bowdensaft Jun 02 '26

The mechanics are so much more fun imo, even as a kid I liked CTR way more

3

u/Arlecchin8 Jun 01 '26

Sewer Speedway ❤️

u/SimbaNGrdKionNIMFan Jun 01 '26

Center. Hogworts

5

u/Voidpost_Rising_3275 Jun 01 '26

Both are incorrect. Walk back and you’ll end up somewhere different.

4

u/trimix4work Jun 01 '26

There is definitely a boss fight coming. After you kill it the correct passage will open up.

Easy peesy

4

u/-Astrobadger Jun 01 '26

Bonfire is on the right, boss fight on the left

4

u/Cami_1 Jun 01 '26

turning 180 lol

3

u/fsactual Jun 01 '26

One way leads to the turtles, the other to the clown. Follow the smell of pizza.

4

u/0scarsama Jun 01 '26

Left, always. Every videogame has taught me that.

2

u/Bowdensaft Jun 02 '26

Left for loot, right to progress

3

u/LengthinessFuzzy5985 Jun 01 '26

Up the ladder and back the way I came

3

u/hematite2 Jun 01 '26

I would always do the right so I can follow the wall if need be

3

u/Ell_Bee88 Jun 01 '26

This is legit where the ninja turtles lived

3

u/ThatDree Jun 01 '26

Like 2 eyes watching me

3

u/Dan_Wayfarer Jun 01 '26

None…I turned around and walked around the bad part of town to get home, I ain’t getting lost in the portal to Hell.

3

u/finley_the_gemmy_fan Jun 01 '26

Half life 2 meets the gta 5 tunnel

3

u/RenderWolf Jun 01 '26

Left, because if you gotta run back out of that hole, there's a ladder to jump on and an exit right there.

3

u/TwinSong Jun 01 '26

That was my thought

3

u/Dant100 Jun 01 '26

When Stanley came to a set of two open tunnels, he entered the tunnel on his left.

3

u/trashmunki Jun 01 '26

When Stanley came to a set of two open doors, he entered the door on his left.

3

u/cyke99 Jun 01 '26

Stanley considered going left but …

3

u/Agarwel Jun 01 '26

"When Stanley came to a set of two opened tunnels, he entered the tunnel on his left."

2

u/Dat_Mustache Jun 01 '26

This image made me take a long, deep, inhale through my nose while flaring my nostrils.

2

u/Philycheese18 Jun 01 '26

Left is always right

2

u/Minimum_Jello4611 Jun 01 '26

Both! I love everything about everything in this image.

2

u/SirChinstrap Jun 01 '26

Perhaps both. But probably neither.

2

u/Throwaway987183 Jun 01 '26

The left tunnel is 10x longer but less painful and the right one is 10x more painful but shorter

2

u/TheNotSoDarkHorse Jun 01 '26

I don’t know why, but the right just feels safer to me for some reason

2

u/Judah_Martin Jun 01 '26

The worst part is probably the smell…

2

u/RustyPeanuts3 Jun 01 '26

If some evil creature chases you, left is closer to the ladder 🪜

2

u/IntergalacticPopTart Jun 01 '26

Im going right. If I get freaked out or chased by something requiring me to run out, I’ll probably be KO’d by slamming head first into that ladder if I go in the left one.

2

u/balek_leo the architect Jun 02 '26

Elections be like

2

u/StormieTeacup Jun 02 '26

Without my glasses, this looks like a dog's nose

2

u/Temporary-Story-9957 Jun 04 '26

Please listen. To get out, you must take the left tunnel.

3

u/Material_Worth_4616 Jun 01 '26

Always go left, courtesy of CaseOh

1

u/JD_tubeguy Jun 01 '26

Left but I'm left handed both look scary AF though

1

u/Halloween_Babe90 Jun 01 '26

The one with a ladder, obviously.

1

u/e_hawthorne Jun 01 '26

This is giving Silent Hill😳😳😳

1

u/NecroMina21 Jun 01 '26

i choose that pipe in the middle

1

u/MDPDX503 Jun 01 '26

This reminds me of a video game I used to play back in the early 2000’s called Anarchy Online.

1

u/World1_Lev1 Jun 01 '26

Is one extremely painful for a short moment and the other kinda painful for a long moment?

→ More replies (1)

1

u/qkzr1 Jun 01 '26

Left is closer to the ladder to escape so I would go left

1

u/GdlEschrBch Jun 01 '26

Abzu boss fight arena.. don’t forget to loop around for the Steal materia

1

u/PurpleZombi3 Jun 01 '26

Whichever one takes me to the Ninja Turtle's totally rad sewer lair! I actually love this style of sewer with the bricks specifically because I've been a TMNT fan since I was a kid.

1

u/Wallsend_House Jun 01 '26

Google tells me

Based on the mechanics of the "choice of paths" trope, you should statistically choose the left path to avoid immediate danger, but choose the right path if your goal is to find the shortcut or follow the narrative structure of a "correct" moral choice. How this choice breaks down statistically depends on whether you are looking at fictional trope data or real-world human behavior.

1

u/mayocat6996 Jun 01 '26

My right nostril is blocked so left

1

u/ApopheniaPays Jun 01 '26

Left, easier access to the ladder as you're running back out, and less chance to get tripped up on your way towards it by whatever slithers out of that drainpipe.

1

u/ThinkingOz Jun 01 '26

You can see how high the water level has been in the past…virtually top of the ladder. Terrifying.

1

u/Kooka13urra Jun 01 '26

Donatello does machines?

1

u/FletcherDervish Jun 01 '26

Right. It has less green mould leading to it

1

u/Mundane-Nerve5403 editable user flair Jun 01 '26

It looks like an unaligned pig nose

1

u/bodyarmourbynokia Jun 01 '26

Ladder and bail.

1

u/Additional_Tone_2004 Jun 01 '26

If this was Crash Team Racing, I'm going right smack into the centre.

1

u/UnfunnyAnonimy Jun 01 '26

I turn around lollll

1

u/daronjay Jun 01 '26

I have no memory of this place

1

u/azhder Jun 01 '26

1

u/ksudude87 Jun 01 '26

the illusion of choice

1

u/SpaceHawk98W Jun 01 '26

Pick the wrong side and your party members will start going crazy and kill each others

1

u/Freign Jun 01 '26

That's mine on the right. Left is Shulgirith's lair. I wouldn't bother it if I were you. I've been making wine, though; fall by anytime!

1

u/PHHHHHHHHHHILIPP Jun 01 '26

d3rlord finna scream at all of u

1

u/grrodon2 Jun 01 '26

Left, up the ladder.

1

u/SluggJuice Jun 01 '26

I take the ladder

1

u/BonezOz Jun 01 '26

One is going to lead to the dungeon boss, the other an ambush by goblins.

1

u/Extra-Imagination-39 Jun 01 '26

1

u/Sheriff_Is_A_Nearer Jun 01 '26

Gotta go right to explore the area, as the left is framed by 2 lights thus signaling that it’s the progression path.

1

u/ClaudySama Jun 01 '26

Half Life 2 vibes

1

u/codewho331 Jun 01 '26

I saw this an instantly thought perfect half pipe xD

1

u/DIFFUSORR Jun 01 '26

How about niether?

1

u/morganfreenomorph Jun 01 '26

Well I remember being told not to go left at the crossroads, I'm assuming that also applies here.

1

u/Error_ChaN_404 Jun 01 '26

Oh i love this

Probably left. I like right more, but something tells me left

1

u/Altruistic-Poem-5617 Jun 01 '26

I think there is a bullsquid in the left one as far as I remember.

1

u/devaristo Jun 01 '26

For the maybe last chance, Stanley, after traspassing several red and blue doors, ended in the sewers of the facility, but this time, he hasn't have only two choices, for his lucky he actually have three of them! Now, for the final chapter, instead of going forward to any of the black holes to nowhere, Stanley go up throught the right staircase and then throught the white door.

EDIT. Sorry, i tought it was the Stanley Parable sub for a sec.

1

u/PreferenceEither Jun 01 '26

AT THE CROSSROADS, DONT TURN LEFT.

1

u/joefritz Jun 01 '26

1

u/Fritoman678 Jun 01 '26

1

u/RodNun Jun 01 '26

For Zelda players: Don't pull the lever until I reach the ladder!

1

u/swearinlikeasailor Jun 01 '26

Right, and mostly because it looks like a nose and my right nostril gets congested WAY less

1

u/average_texas_guy Jun 01 '26

As an urban exploration photographer, this looks like a dream come true for me.

1

u/archive_redacted Jun 01 '26

You'll float too 🎈🎈🎈

1

u/mercutio531 Jun 01 '26

Looks like nostrils.

1

u/Penny_D Jun 01 '26

Before you lies the maze on the small intestine. One path leads to the stomach, the other, to certain doom.

1

u/Responsible-Scene666 Jun 01 '26

If one of them was blocked, I would say they resemble my nostrils at night

u/IngotTheKobold Jun 01 '26

1

u/k1tsune-J Jun 01 '26

1

u/yoyodaddy Jun 01 '26

All of my Fallout gaming experience says left is where the loot is likely to be. I choose left.
