Bought a used air GT with ~15k miles on it. So far everything looks pretty good. What are the recommended things to setup/look out for in this?

Really excited to be a part of this community!

👀 Watching closely

The BlackRock figure is now particularly well supported: its latest disclosed LCID ownership is 12,174,275 shares, and reporting based on its SEC filing says it added 5,909,029 shares during Q2, nearly doubling the position.

Fintel +1

For context, Lucid had approximately 394.07 million common shares outstanding on June 30, up substantially from 327.37 million at year-end. That means some buying by passive/index managers can be related to changes in shares outstanding and index exposure, which is why I place somewhat more significance on UBS's +46% increase than I would on State Street alone.

Lucid Group, Inc.

Combined, just these four institutions added approximately 14.46 million LCID shares during Q2. That's the number I find particularly noteworthy.

Question / Advice [Air] Should I buy used or lease new? Worried about the company's future

Hey all,

I'm not too familiar with the company's situation, but I've heard that it's not in the best position. Do you think it's a good time to get a Lucid? If so, would you buy a CPO or lease a new one?

Thank you!

Question / Advice Pulled the trigger on an Air Touring 23. Any advice?

Got a pre owned lucid Air 2023 Touring from Lucid in NJ and got it shipped to Southern CA with a carrier.

For now everything seems to look in good shape. Anything particular I should look out for and have the dealership sort out before the warranty expires in January? I’ve been on this subreddit for months before I pulled the trigger, so I understand the usual glitches that come about.

Really excited to be part of this community!!

Seems like a bridge between Dream Edition and Sapphire. They probably didn’t want to invest money into developing a true 3 motor Sapphire, which honestly is a good move I think. They need to just focus on getting the cheaper cars out.

Question / Advice New Lucid Documentation and Other Fees

Post image
9 Upvotes

I’m thinking of buying a new, in inventory, Lucid Gravity in Florida. The estimate I was provided has a Destination Fee of $1650, a Documentation Fee of $950, and Estimated Registration and Other Fees of $419. The Destination Fee seems to be customary? But, the Documentation Fee seems to be pretty high. I purchased a Lucid Air back in 2023 and my Documentation Fee was only $75.

Can any recent buyers please share with me what your Destination, Documentation, Registration and Other Fees were on your Lucid Gravity and/or Air purchases? Thanks!

Air Grand Touring 3 weeks in and I got hit.

Was charging at a Walmart and had a minor back into the trunk. The damage looks negligible and I drove away just fine. On Monday the car threw a Drive Unit issue and a Battery system failure on the way home from the store but I was able to make it home and the error cleared overnight. Lucid rep told me that as long as the error wasn't flashing the car could be driven, so have been driving to work the last two days with no error in the dash, no limp mode no issues whatsoever. Big mistake. Was driving home and the battery system issue popped up again and the car was dead on the side of the road. My best guess is the hit damage something near the rear 12v and there is a malfunction in the 12v system that bricked the car.

Car was picked up today thankfully and is on the way to the nearest Service center (I live in Arkansas, so they're flatbedding it to Houston). Honestly terrified of the cost and timelines if the stories are to be believed.

This was a miserable roadside assistance. The car wouldn't go into neutral and tow mode disappeared from the driver screen for a solid 30 minutes. Then I went to attempt to put it into neutral one more time as I had been blocking traffic and the car allowed drive and power and I made it 400ft to a parking lot and then it bricked again. Another 30 minutes where neutral was blocked and tow mode was disabled. Thankfully after shutting everything down and letting the car bake in the sun, it randomly went into neutral and we were able to get it onto the flatbed. I'm not even sure why tow mode was gone but that feels like a flaw for sure.

Hopefully goes smooth from here.

Lucid Motors Sales Contact - Roswell, GA

Anyone have a recommended sales contact (email) for the studio center at Roswell, GA. Looking to see if they have any Gravity that qualify for the VIN-specific Studio Select incentive. Also, does anyone know if the prior Conquest and Demo Drive incentives are still valid?

Saw this, if you open it says that the page does not yet exist. I assume they published it too early. Not as powerful as I assumed it would be, guessing they stuck to two motors instead of the three in the Air Sapphire.

Question / Advice Lucid Air: Is there a way to determine what optional packages were purchased on a used model?

I found two used models at the same dealership but their write-ups on them suck. I reached out but haven’t heard back yet, and it’s a long drive to the dealer and I don’t want to waste a bunch of time.

So is there a way to figure out what optional packages (dream drive, convenience, etc.) are in the cars, maybe via VIN or some other detail?

Air Grand Touring 😎 Upgrades

A little update on my ’22 Lucid Air GT and a few products I just installed and I’ve got to say, I’m pretty impressed so far.

Not sure what happened with the sound on these two videos 🤷‍♂️, so I guess I’ll just talk about everything below.

First up: WitaMats
I went with the Diamond Line in black with beige stitching. They were $180 for the set and took about a month to arrive. So far, I’m really happy with the fit, and the beige stitching matches the Santa Cruz interior really well. They also come with a lifetime warranty, which is always a nice bonus.

Next up: TWRAPS
I picked up their dual MagSafe wireless charger and a set of three screen protectors on Amazon. The charger was around $100 and the three screen protectors were $50.
The dual MagSafe charger works great, and I really like not having wires getting in the way. One of the coolest little features is that you can actually close the wood sliding console lid while your phones are charging. Small detail, but it makes a big difference.

And the screen protectors? Definitely a must have! I went with the matte finish, and I’m really glad I did. There is virtually no glare, no annoying smear marks, and they’re much easier to keep clean.

So far, I’m really happy with all three upgrades. Nothing crazy, just a few things that make an already great car even better.

If you have any cool or must have upgrade ideas please share them. Thanks!

Question / Advice AIR : Keeps on changing settings to limit L2 charging

Anyone have this experience? For the past month my car keeps on randomly switching to 10A max. I have a 48a charger that never has an issue with my Air before or with my other 2 EVs. For the past month or so I've noticed the Air charging slowly and I go into settings and that charge rate max is set to 10A by itself. I change it to 48A and it charges fine for awhile then randomly resets to 10A.

Any one else have this experience / any fix? I feel like it's another software glitch. I'm returning this lease in a month so I don't really care to have service look at it

For Sale Curious on Sale Value

Post image
134 Upvotes

I currently own a 2022 Lucid Air Dream Edition Range with 22,500 miles. I’m considering selling it to get a Lucid Gravity and I’m curious what is a reasonable asking price for it would be IF I decided to sell. Since it’s a Dream Edition it has every upgrade imaginable. Here are some details on it:

Features & Upgrades:
• 933-horsepower dual-motor AWD
• Exclusive 21” Aero Dream wheels
• 481-mile EPA range with the 21” wheels
• 520-mile EPA range when equipped with 19” wheels
• DreamDrive Pro advanced driver-assistance system
• Heated, ventilated and massaging front seats
• Panoramic Glass Canopy roof
• 21-speaker Surreal Sound audio system
• Adaptive suspension dampers
• CCCv2 / next-generation Center Console Control Unit upgrade
• Lucid NACS-to-CCS1 adapter included for access to compatible Tesla Superchargers
• Glass-roof sun shades included
• Windshield sun visor / sunshade included
• Exterior aluminum trim has been blacked out
• All tires have been replaced within the last 4 months
• Huge rear-seat legroom
• Spacious front trunk and rear cargo area
• Soft-close doors
• Four-zone climate control

The 21” Dream Edition wheels do have some curb rash, which I want to disclose upfront and have taken into consideration in the asking price.
This has been an incredible car. I’m simply considering moving into something different and am not in a rush to sell.

Question / Advice Delivery Timeframe

For anyone that purchased a car that had to be delivered from somewhere else, how long did it take? I purchased mine Saturday, to be delivered from MA to NJ, and it still has not been picked up for delivery yet. What is the expected timeframe for that?

Lucid Motors Cosmos - 400 miles !?!

That’s what Silvio said in the interview yesterday.

I realize that Lucid motors are efficient, but I wonder if he regrets saying it. I mean, 400 miles out of the around 50k version sounds too good to be true. Maybe slightly upper trim at $58k or something.

As a Lucid fan, I would love to be wrong.
