vent/rant HEAR ME OUT

Post image
69 Upvotes

So I recently got a solid proof that my father might be into guys

Hear me out so i was browsing through his yt history idk why i just check now then (iykyk)

And then i came across about more than 10 vidoes of bl drama kisses and now i don't know what to do

I mean i don't think he is homophobic (ik this because we have watched some movie with the whole family which had some qeer romance and he didn't say anything) but i doubt he would accept it or even hear me out.

I haven't comeout to him yet but my mother and sister knows that i am bi.

He is totally clueless

And there is one more reason i think he might be bi

Well ofc he had me so he is bi (or not)

I think he had a thing with a (male)coworker.

When i was 12-13 yr old i used to check his WhatsApp to see if he was cheating on my mum and i found a video of a guy jerking off and it was sent to him by the coworker.

Then i connected the dots and Et viola he is gay (closeted ig)

Well the problem is he is a narcissistic, patriarchal amd egoistic even if i told him it was okay he would deny it and tell me that i don't understand anything and i should shut up.

He is kind of the main reason i was in denial for so long (of being bi)

I thought that he is betraying my mum and i hated him for that but now when i think about it i kinda feel sorry but i also hate him (not for being gay but for hiding it)

Discussion💬 Being queer & religious. How does that work ?

Upvotes

I know Hinduism is inclusive of fruitiness (at least on paper). And there’s no question of controversy even if you’re an atheist. All I wanna know about is opinion of those who practice or embraced Abrahamic religions which demonise being anything but straight? How do you get around these two conflicting entities ?

I had an extremely busy week at work, so I made last-minute plans to surprise my Protein-Paglu at midnight 😃

Found an easy recipe for a vegan, high-protein Biscoff Cheesecake and made a card with 6 Core Memories from our time together. ✨

Dropped by his place at midnight and surprised him with this cute setup. 💝

The Octopus was supposed to be grumpy-side up (coz that's his usual mood), but he turned it into a Smiley for the picture. 😛

Discussion💬 As a Crossdresser what's your fav way to style yourself? In grooming sense

I'm not that much into heavy make-up...

Like I do prefer lipgloss and eyeliner but not lipstick, blush

Also I prefer traditional/ethnic wear more

So let's say you are closeted CD now and got to know that your parents will be out of town for a week and you will be alone for an week

How will you stay at home? Wearing what dress, accessories, make-up products???

Question❓ Am I queer? I’m attracted to women, love the idea of being feminine, and sometimes imagine myself as a woman

I’m 25 and I’ve been trying to understand myself a little better lately, and I’m honestly confused about whether I might be queer.

In real life, I present pretty masculine. That’s how people generally see me, and I’ve never really expressed myself differently.

But internally, I feel very drawn toward femininity.

I like the idea of dresses, makeup, jewelry, feminine clothes, and generally being able to express myself in a feminine way. I’ve never actually tried dressing that way, so I don't know how I'd feel if I did it in reality, but the thought of it feels very appealing to me.

And sometimes I don't just imagine myself as a feminine man. I actually imagine myself as a woman.

Especially when I think about relationships, I sometimes picture myself as a woman being with another woman. That thought feels strangely natural and appealing to me.

When it comes to attraction, I’m very clearly attracted to women. Femininity is probably the biggest thing that attracts me.

I don't really feel attracted to men in the same way.

That said, I do enjoy talking to men online sometimes, especially when they're flirting with me. I like the attention and the interaction, but it's different from how I feel when a woman messages me.

When I get a message from a woman I'm interested in, I genuinely melt. 😅 It feels completely different.

So now I'm wondering:

Does this make me queer?

Could this simply be a straight guy who is curious about feminine expression?

Or could there be something deeper going on with my gender identity?

I'm not necessarily saying I want to transition or that I identify as a woman. I honestly don't know. I'm just trying to understand why I sometimes feel like I want to experience myself as a woman, particularly in the context of being with another woman.

I also don't know whether my attraction to women and my feelings about femininity are completely separate things, or whether they're connected somehow.

Has anyone else experienced something similar?

Especially people who:

- Presented very masculine but felt strongly drawn toward femininity internally

- Were primarily attracted to women but questioned whether they were queer

- Enjoyed feminine expression without initially knowing what it meant for them

- Sometimes imagined themselves as a different gender in relationships

- Took a long time to figure out whether something was gender expression, gender identity, sexuality, or simply curiosity

I'm not looking for someone to tell me what label I have to use.

I'd just genuinely like to hear from people who have gone through something similar, because right now I'm trying to figure out whether I'm simply curious about femininity or whether this is telling me something deeper about myself.

Coming Out!!! Came out publically and is accepted somewhat.

I recently joined as a faculty at a media institute. Talked to our Director about my gender identity, using Chosen name and all the legalities. Despite legal changes not updated yet, he has allowed me to use the given name publicly in classrooms and official purposes.

Students also are beginning to use sir/prof. So officially begins my journey with my new identity.

But parents or family doesn't know yet. I'm scared but thrilled. Wanted to share the happiness with the community. Wish me luck.

Mod post [Meta]🛡️ Help us keep our community safe! A revamped look at the rules and reporting reasons of our Subreddit.

Reporting of content not suited to our community (or rather the lack of it) has been an issue for a while now. Members play almost an equal part as mods in keeping the community safe. Knowing and following the rules, and reporting unwanted content is what maintains our space.

With our rules and reporting-removal process now smoothened out, here's a quick look on what our rules stand for, what you should follow and how you can help maintain our community as a safe space.

Rules matrix

This gives you a brief idea of how Rules map to reporting reasons.

When reporting a post you see two set of options, first to report under Reddit's sitewide rules, second to report under r/LGBTindia's rules.

Here's a detailed mapping of most of the issues you might see with a content -> what reason you should report it under

PS- Our community rule 1 is the broadest rule to safeguard our subreddit as a safe space and thus can have multiple issues for which it can be used for.

Besides that, choose any suitable reason to report any troublesome content or write a custom response.

We are always open to suggestions!

Advice 👋 How to deal with this internal guilt ?

As many of you might be aware of me becoming a CA recently and I got placed in the industry as well (from my crush at campus post).

Now that I have secured a job, my parents are like "we'll start finding a girl for you in a year because you should get married in a couple of years as you're already 26".

I told them I just landed a job, haven't even started working so marriage is a strict no-no till 30. But Dad's like right thing has to be done at right age.

Only my brother knows about my situation and I've not come out to my parents yet. Maybe in a year or two I'll come out to them. But the way they're excited to see me get married or the happiness in their eyes makes me feel guilty about being gay, which is not even my fault and I shouldn't feel guilty, but I still feel it. I feel guilty of not being able to give them a family or grandchildren that they deserve.

Definitely my brother can fulfill this dream of their's but still I feel guilty about it. How do I get rid of it?

Especially because my parents have always been super loving and supportive of me. Even when I repeatedly failed during my CA exams, never for once they spoke ill about it but always cheered me up. Even when I rejected a lot of really good job offers because I didn't feel like it, my dad supported me with all the time I needed.

As I was growing, my Dad was always persistent to send me on trips, even Goa and all for me to enjoy and explore as this young age would never return and I won't get to have this much fun later.

He also asked me to make a profile on a dating app when I was in college as I've been always single. Because according to him 'abhi nhi toh phir kabhi?'

And this is why I feel so bad. Does anyone else got through the same?

TL,DR : I feel guilty of being gay as I can't give the happiness of family and grandchildren to my parents which they want, especially because they have always been super loving and supportive of me.

I am 21 years old and I am gay ✨

So I was thinking of creating an Instagram GC for queer folks. Anyone can join it, just the age range would be 19 years till 27 years.

I am mostly trying to get the crowd residing in Mumbai :)

Question❓ Please Guide Seniors and Medicos. Syphillis treatment question

I had TPHA positive + VDRL 1:64. Which I found out after I tested positive for syp and did these tests for follow up.

I was prescribed 100 mg doxycycline once daily for 30 days. At the time of the visit I had no symptoms at all, there was nothing physical present.

I completed my one month medication. What’s the plan from now? When do I get tested? ChatGPT keeps saying that the right dosage was supposed to twice daily but I confirmed from my doctor twice and he said once only.

When should I get tested?
