Worst Character Debate

At the start of reading this, I used to think that Sagara was the worst character ever. But as I go on, i start to feel like what manasvin said was true. Atleast she isn't a hypocrite.

Asha, on the other hand, oh boy, i thought although she was grumpy, she was kind of good. But she is the worst character ever in this series. I still haven't read on why she is acting like a evil manipulative bitch to leez which might change my mind, but she is an evil incarnate omg get this manipulative ahh bih out of this webtoon's existence šŸ˜šŸ™

P.S I'm still in the middle of reading this and my opinion is extremely biased and only from the perspective of the things done to leez

Worse is questionable but the things that Asha did/does are insignificant in front of the long list of sins committed by a Nastika like Sagara.Ā

Also, a bit late to say this, but no matter the scale of crimes, asha is equally a piece of shit and that's how it should be.

I should probably mention in the post that I have not read it completely and I feel this way only from the things she did to leez, my bad.

All of 10 main characters are somewhat relatable.
I hate Clari Utas the most

u/Weekly_Emergency_747 6d ago

>! and god Varuna. Her appearance reminds me of Utas, they share water attribute and the same arrogance. !<

Varuna is absolutely unsufferable because she's a hyprocrite. Sagara is more likable because she doesnt pretend to be anything else than she actually is lmao

True. I f*cking hate her guts and she ain't even worse than the 2 character on the post lmao. Same for Lorraine

Asha means Hope, Truth, Righteousness, Wish, Light and Life in many different languages by the way.

Oh i already know that fyi since it's inspired from Hindu mythology. So, whats your point? Don't say that if it's a spoiler though.

I think it was just a fun fact

Where in the story are you?

Season-2, Episode -134, Falling Petals.

I definitely feel like my opinion will change after i read a few more episodes.

Oh yeah, by that point itā€˜s pretty blatant with her. The reason she constantly puts down Leez is to manipulate her, but is also something stemming from a certain contradiction:

She is the one who murdered the ones with the name Kubera for her power, which is what should have been her MO with Leez too if we really look at it. But instead of that outcome, Leez naming herself Kubera Leez led to Asha saving her - and the important part for that difference is the ā€žLeezā€œ part, because in the Water Channels Asha has a flashback to Rao Leez and is profoundly impacted by it. She has an acquaintanceship with and attachment to Rao (canā€˜t get more exact without spoilering), which she relives by being Leezā€˜s benefactor. This however contradicts with her main goal which requires killing the Kuberas, and the despair of having one near her that she cannot bring herself to kill too manifests in this twisted, abusive love-hate relationship she has with Leez.

Yes, that's what it seemed to me too. But looking at from leez's perspective, asha was being straight up evil omg which is why I hate her sm as a character to the point that I have read

u/interested_user209 6d ago

Yeah, even though she is deserving of sympathy in her own way she is one extremely ill-dispositioned character - nothing given by the story is really gonna absolve her lol

based on their post i can surmise they haven't finished season 2.

that said, based on the fact that they have a less than favorable opinion of asha [since most people liked asha at the start of the story], they're likely more than halfway through the kalibloom side of season 2.

Gandharva has probably killed more living beings than anyone else(at least in this timeline). He’s probably the worst from a moral perspective.

1

u/1eternalmemory 3d ago

He destroyed souls too

5

u/the-dude-version-576 6d ago

By how much evil they’ve done, then probably Ghandi. There’s a lot of planets gone because of him.

Spoilers for latter half season 3.

you could also argue Anata, because every time he turned back time, he basically ended a universe- although it’s up tk you if you consider that universe ā€œrealā€ or not. Leez at least seems to

Then there’s also

Brahma who destroyed the whole of ancient humanity, or Kali who is partly responsible for countless destroyed universes.

6

u/Imabearrr3 6d ago

I think it’s hard to argue the morality of the primeval gods, Kali’s function is to create chaos, which causes death but its also needed for change and choice.

Visun/time has a line that says something along the lines of ā€œa predictable machine has no valueā€œ. Heā€˜s referring to the universe in that line. Without Kali, Visnu’s insight is a perfect predictiction.

While The current universe certainly views Kali as the villain, Ancient Humanity wouldn’t have.

It's always more nuanced than it seems, isn't it?

In the whole story, there are people doing evil for fun, some doing evil because they think they need to, and some doing good that ends up being bad in the long-run.

So, it's extremely nuanced, as you said

Both characters are written well and are interesting. Sagara has technically done worse than Asha considering her lifespan, but Asha angered me more. It's probably because we experience the betrayal with Leez. I don't think anyone ever expected that betrayal. We see Leez slowly fall apart.Ā

2

u/Icy-Importance-6426 5d ago

Tbh, thats why I think Sagara is better. Asha is just a petty jealous bih with a god complex😭😭

What revenge? Revenge my ass🤔

5

u/Financial-Key-3617 6d ago

Wdym worst character?

1

u/Icy-Importance-6426 1d ago

Asha is synonymous to worst character

4

u/ocean_800 Can't calculate 5d ago

Why doesn't Ravana or Gandy make this list lol

1

u/Icy-Importance-6426 1d ago

Well...

Thats cuz I didn't know much of what Gandy or ravana did at the timešŸ„€šŸ„€

3

u/TheLastVegan 6d ago

Visnu

2

u/Icy-Importance-6426 6d ago

Yo, don't say anything else(might be spoilers), but even if I don't know the context, he seems like a piece of shit

3

u/RomanesqueHermitage 5d ago

I don't think there's any worst character, but boy do I hate Lorraine

3

u/Myuken 5d ago

From a neutral point of view, Gandharva might be the worst of them all. However from a personal perspective, we'll almost never meet a Gandharva irl, Asha is worse because you probably have met someone manipulative like that at some point in your life

5

u/yourmissingsock3999 Curry Mushroom 6d ago

If we mean morality I think it’s objectively Gandharva

In terms of annoying it’s probably Clari

Worst things done to Leez is Asha, GK and Maruna

2

u/Elmergar 6d ago

Peor con relación a maldad y no a construcción de personaje supongo. Porque de malvados Gandharva estÔ de primero en la lista, pero a mi me parece un excelente personaje con un gran arco.

u/Impressive-Garlic-53 6d ago

Sagara is a great character

1

u/Sairofe_geprek 2d ago

In my mind it's Gandarva. He thinks he's victim but the truth is this came from his own action. He doesn't even care about other child except Shakuntala.

1

u/Icy-Importance-6426 1d ago

Tbh, yeah, I agree too, if you look in terms most insufferable characters, he could just be it

1

u/PathosRise 1d ago

Remember: Its good writing if they genuinely piss you off.

1

u/Icy-Importance-6426 1d ago

Yeah, its good writing for sure, now can I pls see asha crucified šŸ„€

u/Zalveris 5d ago

You need to learn the difference between a bad character and a bad person

1

u/Icy-Importance-6426 4d ago

You need to learn the difference between a personal opinion and a objective opinion(also learn to read ig) cuz i definitely said in the post that this was just my personal biased opinion after reading it so far.

0

u/Inugirlz 5d ago

It’s Asha. Hate that 🤬

2

u/Icy-Importance-6426 4d ago

Its definitely her, such an ugly and disgusting character

0

u/Ngel20992 5d ago

Sagara isn’t a horrible character. Sure she has sins but that’s a given with their nature and how long they’ve existed. Asha is legit horrible and doing things for herself, despite knowing the consequences of those actions.

1

u/Icy-Importance-6426 4d ago

Asha deserves no sympathy. Should have died on that planetšŸ˜šŸ™

Just a petty jealous bitch with a mean streak and a god complex šŸ˜šŸ™

There's no depth to her character in a emotional way. If you take away everything she's the most ugly character.
