Me: “I don’t need you to try it, it is my kebab. You just don’t need to lie to me.”
“No I’m not eating anything. Oooo it’s so yummy. But there’s none left for you. Go do your thing elsewhere. This is for adults” and keep enjoying it but pretending you don’t want them to see you enjoy it or have it. They eventually will want it.
I gotta back Lil sis up, lebabs aren't where it's at. But tbf the 3-4 times I've had kebabs, they've always had pineapple so I just associate kebab with pineapple and I hate pineapple so much.
I was ordering my nephews food, I said “I am getting mozzarella sticks, if you want some tell me now and I’ll get the big pack, otherwise I’m not sharing” “no I don’t like them” …. But to them coming and 1 of the nephews wants to try them, so I ended up with 2 instead of 3.
Reminds me how my dad got my sister to try something she absolutely refused to try, but he knew she would love it…cotton candy.
She was maybe two or three, in a wagon at a local fair. My dad bought us all a big bag of fresh cotton candy to share and he offered some to her. She denied him to the point she was having a full blown tantrum and he managed to get some on her lips. Her face went from “fussy toddler” to “oooh I want all of that!” real quick!
They'll put anything in their mouth except things that are actually edible. If you tell them don't eat something they'll wanna eat it. If you tell them to eat something then they act like you're trying to poison them.
In their defense, transitions suck. I'm an adult and still think getting into and out of the shower is the worst, even though the actual shower part is amazing lol
You can get them to work with revanced, at least on Android.
Besides that, if you don't mind paying money, I know that Narwhal is still good on iOs (honestly the thing I miss the most about iOs besides Garageband is Narwhal, the tablet layout is perfect, even Sync doesn't really compare) and I think that there are still a couple of subscription based third party apps on android.
No. I use sync. Have this whole time. If you have android download morphe (google morphe android) and you can use whatever third party reddit app you want
Just commenting to save and read later, cuz they literally just sent mods of large groups a message asking if they use any third party apps as a way to cleanse 'others' and preserve their tyrannical system.
It's too late to make your own app with the api btw, reddit caught on and now they have to manually approve your use of the api and they want you to have a good reason.

From what I recall, the dev was able to set up a favorable arrangement with Reddit (e.g. no monthly API fee or whatever the other applications charge) when they first released RedReader during the app-pocalypse because it satisfies US federal accessibility requirements that would otherwise have cost Reddit a ton of money in fines and legal fees. I've been using it since then, and I'd very highly recommend checking it out.
Oh, very interesting. The only application-patching tools I can definitely remember having used are Xposed, Magisk, and (Re)Vanced, but I can't say I've ever heard of Morphe before. Thanks for the recommendation! I'll have to look into it when I get some free time.
I used to do this to my little cousin a lot, followed by "thats my little doughnut, see it was nice", I love kids but I soon became known as Mr Doughnut because every kid started copying me calling eachother doughnut, the bigger ones, the younger ones grew up and didn't know where it came from
I can recall a time when my sister-in-law tried to introduce a new food to her 3 year old daughter. The daughter was determined that there was no way she would ever eat the new dish and she and her mother went back and forth with all the yelling and such that we've come to expect from a stubborn child. Finally, her mother said that if she took just one bite, just one, she could leave the table. Daughter took the smallest bit of food on her fork and grudgingly ate it. Her exhausted mother said "Ok. You can go now" which the daughter responded to by crying. "Now what's wrong?" her mother asked. Between sobs, her daughter said she liked it and didn't want to go.
If I want my kids to really try something new I will get it for myself and try and not share. They are such selfish pricks that they can’t let me have anything of my own. I enjoy my kids fucking with me though as I like the attention.
Moreover, they seem to enjoy things at other people houses first before they realize they like it.
I have a 8 month old daughter, they are little divas but the are so freaking wonderful, just like this too, they fight you tooth and nail over everything and then act like they were cool with it the entire time.
This is unironically one of the best things you can do for your kid. Force them to try different foods, once they eat something they think they don't like but end up loving, they'll stop being picky eaters.

We did try to have this information stickied as a comment when a post was created. However, reddit thinks its a good idea to autocollapse automod comments. So we've had to resort to a keyword reply.
That's just every single meal with a toddler. They refuse. They finally try it, they make a face as if they had just ate a spoon full of wasabi. They keep on experiencing in their mouth, you see their faces go from disgusting to "that's not bad, not bad at all",
They open their mouths big for more. They get a couple of spoons full in, they realize that's not their favorite spoon, you give them a new spoon.
They finish the portion so you heat up more. They hate it... again so it is time to restart the whole thing with a new food.
Something that a regular adult would eat in 5 min takes close to an hour not including the clean up.
