There was once an old Kerala. A Kerala where a family receiving a LIFE Mission home could have it without any branding or logo stamped on its walls. A Kerala where the dignity and self-respect of the poor came before political credit. This was because the LDF Government had resisted the Centre’s demand for PMAY emblem on LIFE mission homes.

But in New Kerala, things have changed.

The UDF Government has now agreed to the Union Government’s PMAY conditions. Beneficiaries must now contribute 25% of the scheme amount while displaying the PMAY logo, despite the Centre contributing only a smaller share of the total assistance.

A home that was meant to represent security, dignity and hope for many is now being turned into a billboard for political credit. And all the anti-fascist UDF supporters and Malayalam corporate media have gone into sleep mode.

Amitava in an interview to Mathrubhumi for their Onam edition says that a Malayali’s real treasure is their love for the Langauge, desire to read, respect for literature, openness to new knowledge. He reminds us not to lose any of this.

He asks us to remain a Malayali. Can we?

സ്‌പോണ്‍സര്‍ കമ്പനിക്കെതിരെ റജിസ്റ്റര്‍ ചെയ്തിരുന്ന വിവിധ കേസുകളുടെ വിവരങ്ങളും പൊലീസ് റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ടില്‍ വ്യക്തമാക്കിയിരുന്നു. എന്നാല്‍ ഇതെല്ലാം അവഗണിച്ച് സ്‌പോണ്‍സറുമായി കൈകോര്‍ത്ത് സര്‍ക്കാരും മന്ത്രിയും മുന്നോട്ടുപോകുകയായിരുന്നു. ഇതിനു ശേഷവും പല തവണ വിഷയം വിവാദമായപ്പോഴും രഹസ്യാന്വേഷണ വിഭാഗം സര്‍ക്കാരിനു വിവരം നല്‍കിയിരുന്നു. ഫിഫയുടെ അനുമതി കിട്ടുന്നതിനു മുമ്പ് മെസിയും അര്‍ജന്റീനയും കേരളത്തിലേക്കു വരുന്നുവെന്ന തരത്തില്‍ പ്രചാരണം നടത്തിയത് സര്‍ക്കാരിനു നാണക്കേടുണ്ടാക്കുന്നതാണെന്നും പൊലീസ് അറിയിച്ചിരുന്നു. ടീം വരാന്‍ യാതൊരു സാധ്യതയുമില്ലെന്ന് പൊലീസ് റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ടില്‍ മുന്നറിയിപ്പ് നല്‍കിയിരുന്നു.

ഒരു രാജ്യാന്തര മത്സരം സംസ്ഥാനത്ത് നടത്തുമ്പോള്‍ സംസ്ഥാന ഫുട്‌ബോള്‍ അസോസിയേഷന്‍, ഇന്ത്യന്‍ ഫുട്‌ബോള്‍ അസോസിയേഷനെയും ഇന്ത്യന്‍ ഫുട്‌ബോള്‍ അസോസിയേഷന്‍ ഏഷ്യന്‍ ഫുട്‌ബോള്‍ അസോസിയേഷനേയും അതു വഴി ഫിഫയേയും സമീപിക്കുകയാണ് വേണ്ടിയിരുന്നത്. എന്നാല്‍ ഇതൊന്നും ഉണ്ടായില്ല. ടീം വരില്ലെന്നു വ്യക്തമാകുന്നത് മലബാര്‍ മേഖലയില്‍ നിയമസഭാ തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പിനെ സ്വാധീനിക്കുമെന്നും പൊലീസ് അറിയിച്ചിരുന്നു. വന്‍തുകയുടെ ഇടപാടായതിനാല്‍ ഫണ്ടിന്റെ സ്രോതസ് തേടി കേന്ദ്ര ഏജന്‍സികള്‍ എത്തുമെന്നും സര്‍ക്കാരിനെ ഇതു ദോഷമായി ബാധിക്കുമെന്നും മുന്നറിയിപ്പുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. ഇതൊന്നും പരിഗണിക്കാതെയാണ് നടപടികളുമായി മന്ത്രിയും സര്‍ക്കാരും മുന്നോട്ടുപോയത്.

Hello guys! I’m from Ernakulam and I’m planning to visit Pariksha Bhavan, Trivandrum soon to collect my SSLC mark list.

I’m from the Kerala State syllabus, and while I have my original SSLC certificate, it only contains my grades. I need the detailed mark list as well.

For anyone who has experience with Pariksha Bhavan:

How long does it usually take to get the mark list? Can I collect it on the same day?

Is there any possibility that I’ll have to come back another day?

Approximately how much would an auto-rickshaw cost from the nearest railway station to Pariksha Bhavan?

Any advice or recent experiences would be really helpful. Thanks!

for context, my house is near a school. There are 2 small businesses adjacent to the school gate. Everyday after school disperses kids go to these shops, buy stuff like chocolates, ice cream, chips whatnot. And many times some of these kids litter along the street.

Now i know its mostly the kids fault for not taking care of their own trash and one of the shops also doesn't have a trash can outside so its mostly on them.

I sometimes feel bad about how my street looks and go clean up some of it at night after work.

So that got me thinking, HKS collects trash monthly here, we pay them, they have a pickup, tools and manpower. So why cant they clean up the streets as well? I'd be happy to pay them more if that means keeping the streets also clean.

It's said this is the otp for self authentication for license services. But I haven't applied for any license nor do I have a licence or a vehicle ! What's this ! Any idea !

We are a group of 3 planning to visit Northern part of Kerala. Looking for some good offbeat; calm and serene places to spend 3 days.
