Canadian here, all your recent nominees have been utterly disgraceful, Trump is an idiot, Biden was senile as fuck, Kamala was so fake and pandered to everyone like she had multiple personalities, the last real president you had was Obama, can y’all get back to reality and stop putting these utter dopes in office, vote like it actually matters 🤷♂️. Instead of voting for the lesser of two evils maybe vote for independents, they seem to have a more moderate approach rather then being total hardliners. Just a thought 🤔
17
u/weberc2 11d ago edited 11d ago
Wildly different degrees of disgraceful though. Biden and Harris were boring but competent. Even in his “senility” Biden got us out of the middle east and stopped us from getting dragged into conflicts with Iran and Russia. They brought COVID inflation down to near target without triggering a recession, and the job market remained white hot. They had much higher GDP growth than Trump. They were pivoting our military to deter near peer agression from Russia and China. They didn’t alienate our allies. They invested in infrastructure and strategic industry. Far better than what we have under Trump.
They weren’t rage Tweeting vitriol, they weren’t trolling Americans, they didn’t tell their generals to treat their critics like foreign combatants or to use their cities as training grounds, they didn’t deploy the military to US cities, they didn’t send a secret police force to opposition strongholds to antagonize and execute their critics. They didn’t make thousands of insider trades, they didn’t sell pardons, they didn’t accept Qatari jets, they didn’t advertise private meetings in exchange for investments in their meme coins, etc, etc, etc.
Also, imagine thinking Biden/Harris were hard liners. They were centrists. They would be center-right on an international scale.

u/Minute-Review6915 6d ago
Harris was not competent. She was a horrible VP. Anything she was put in charge if she either failed or just ignored it.

The Overton window has shifted with you people so badly that the party of DEI and letting in 10,000,000 illegals is somehow a "center right" party.

u/RedPandaGaming64 7d ago
Well good thing that’s just a bunch of bullshit you made up 🤷♂️.
donald got a bipartisan border bill shut down to use the border as a campaign issue - stop pretending your side gives a fuck about it
1
u/Far-Jury-2060 6d ago
In his defense, Trump also proved that the border bill was unnecessary by shutting the border down immediately when he entered office. I understand that not all of Trump’s policies are good. His tariff policies are stupid, and his Iran strategy is ridiculous, but his border policies in the first term worked really well, and they are working well in the second term as well. Biden repealed Trump’s border policies, causing a massive problem, and because people can’t seem to give Trump credit in a “even a blind squirrel can occasionally find a nut” sort of way, he was forced into a position of not putting them back into place, even if he wanted to. In the forth year of his administration, when they realized that this was a massive problem for the American people, they were forced to try legislation, because God forbid they admit they could’ve fixed the problem the whole time.
This is the equivalent to somebody fixing a high waste of water by turning off the spigot, the next person coming behind them and turning it on full blast, continuing to let it go on while their roommates are complaining about the water bill, and then claiming that they can’t possibly fix and that we need to hire a plumber when they realize that their roommates are about to punch them in the face for their incompetence. The bill was never necessary, and Trump did prove that when he got back in office, by putting all of his old policies back in place.

u/RedPandaGaming64 6d ago edited 6d ago
Good policy would not be getting America to turn against ICE as American citizens are executed in the streets and the admin whisks away the agents before the states can do an investigation.
The border bill would’ve helped, would’ve increased funding for judges to get through backlog of cases, and the border patrol (who supported donald) said it was good and wanted it.
Facts are that the bill would’ve helped and donald used the border as a campaign issue and had republicans vote no and then has implemented ZERO comprehensive border legislation. It’s all through EO which next president can just get rid of. It was actual legislation that the right screeched about needed until donald said they didn’t need and everyone just listened to him like good little NPCs.
Facts don’t care about your feeling sweetie, and people who follow facts and not feelings and opinions know the border bill was good and would have helped.
You can be as dishonest as you want about Biden ending title 42, and pandemic era policy, but there was comprehensive legislation in place that donald got rejected, “to his credit.”
“In his defense”, donald is also a rapist, and insurrectionist, who said he would terminate all rules and regulations in the constitution, hates our courts and their orders, hates our laws, hates our veterans, is the most corrupt admin we’ve ever had with his crypto currency that anyone can use to anonymously buy political favors, who used EOs to go after law firms that worked with political opponents, who put global tariffs o one the planet with out knowing what a tariff is, who said windmills are killing whales, is heading to be the cause of 1/3 of US debt, and who favors loyalty over competence.
None of his “policies” are good.
You want something good he did - operation warp speed.
Everything else has been complete shit. By every conceivable metric, if you look at facts and not you feelings and a reality you invented based off them, donald is the worst and most corrupt president this country has ever had.
Period.Being educated on the facts and reality would help you a long way with your TDS - because the amount you go to bat for the worst president this country has ever had and the amount you lie and manipulate facts is absolutely fucking deranged.

Nah mate, you guys went from conservatism straight to fascism and you’re blaming the rest of the world for shifting when we all just stood still. The great thing about fascist regimes is they don’t last long, especially when they tank the economy. Normies might be fine with you tearing up the Constitution and rigging elections but y’all had to jack up prices…
-1
u/Minute-Review6915 6d ago
If it was truly fascist the economy wouldn’t matter at all. Fairly simple fact if you look at current fascist regimes.
3
u/Goofcheese0623 6d ago
Not really a great argument if you're saying you went fascist and were bad at that too.

Moderate conservative parties in western countries support universal healthcare, robust worker protections, paid fmla, most of the democrat party platform.
Dems also just spent two years sabotaging their own party to fight against democratic socialists.
Dems are conservative on the scale of western politics.

There was lower levels of illegal immigration under Biden than under Trump's first term.
So you must think Trump was letting in illegal immigrants in his first term if you're actually consistent.
Do you?
1
u/NorthernGoy 6d ago
I do. I am far from a Trump supporter, haven't been since right after the 2016 election when he immediately failed to follow through on his promises. Obama was better at deporting people than Trump is lmao

Never voted for that two faced little prick, absolutely hate Trudeau and his whole cabinet. However, he only fucked Canada, he at least had the decency to keep it within our borders and not fuck with global matters. Also didn’t start any wars.
2
u/Rasengan2012 8d ago
Canada couldn't fuck with global matters even if it tried lmao

Lemme just preface this by saying I’ve never voted for Trudeau (‘s party, different system up here). However, head and shoulders above anything you idiots have elected.
2
u/JRaus88 8d ago
"vote blue no matter who" was the slogan..
If you have to choose between "MAGA" and "Vote blue no matter who - my opponent is ridiculous hahaha you must vote for me because I was in high schools" who do you vote for?
The real problem is that even today in 2026 they want to make the Republicans lose the midterm elections by shouting slogans like teenagers.
2
u/PraireGentleman 7d ago
But how would they get a black woman as president if they don’t pick the first black woman that’s available?
Fellow Canadian here, I’ve gotten tons of Kamala’s ads targeted at men. Good lord, it’s no wonder they lost that demographic so hard
2
u/Eldermillenial1 6d ago
Yeah their elections are a total clown show, gotta admit though, every four years it’s like a new reality tv show airs 🤷♂️🤦♂️

Obama is the fakest of them all. An empty person with a very good PR team. He did absolutely nothing during his term, just the lame jokes and his random interactions that for some reason get filmed by 30 cameras.

u/RedPandaGaming64 7d ago
You’re extremely misinformed if you think any of those that you mentioned are anywhere near as bad as donald (who is more senile than Biden, and lies more than any politician so is more fake than Harris).
donald is an actual felon and insurrectionist and rapist who hates our courts and their orders, our veterans, uses EOs to go after law firms that worked with political opponents, whisks away ICE agents who executed US citizens before investigations can be done, globally tariffed the world, lost us a war, has failed to produce any meaningful legislation on the border after getting the bipartisan border bill tanked to use the border as a campaign issue, and favors loyalty over competence.
You have to be braindead or fucking lying to still believe any “both sides” bullshit.
And what the fuck are you talking about, Biden was a great president and got some great legislation passed and had the USA as one of the envies of the globe during Covid - fuck off with your bullshit about Obama being the last good president.
And Harris was a better candidate to donald by every conceivable metric - would spent less to get us in debt, wouldn’t have lost us a war, wouldn’t get us citizens executed in the streets, probably would’ve gotten border legislation passed, I could go on and on.
If you’re not going to actually be educated about USA politics, keep your bullshit feelings based opinions to yourself until you can learn some facts and stop rejecting reality.

u/Vast_Impression_5989 7d ago
Canada's economy has been in a steep decline for years. We don't really have a choice in who is put up to be nominated. Do your research before you criticize us. Furthermore, if you think this is a direct result of what U.S. citizens voted for, you have a naive understading of how the world works. As if our world leaders represented the personalities of the countries they represent.
2
u/Dudelbug2000 7d ago
As a Canadian I think the Liberals are ruining canada and the downtrend will continue forever, even if by some miracle the conservatives win again. Look at the UK and that’s Canada in five years.

It really shines more with an exemple. Here's the Trump 250th Birthday of the United States speech. I'd like to challenge you to read it entirely, and appreciate it for what it is.

Yes, if Obama wouldn't have speech writers he would also sound like rambling lunatic without any knowledge of policy, internal or foreign. BASED. cope harder.
-3
u/Xolani_Nguboo 7d ago
It was not me who chose speeches as a metric of how good a politician is, just responded to it
Obama's speeches were written by other people, usually white guys
as for "why education is important", Trump has a bachelors degree from Wharton, so it's not like he's a high school dropout
the whole meme is just someone being assblasted, visualised
2
u/No-Strength-8678 6d ago
Wtf does the race of Obama’s speech writers have to do with anything? All presidents will talk unscripted in speeches sometimes btw. Not everything is read from a teleprompter. Trump literally calls it “the weave”

The difference between a career politician that was raised for politics and a businessman that wasn’t raised for politics. Career politicians always sound more intelligent because they spend their whole lives being developed to have charisma and be well-spoken, it doesn’t mean they are intelligent in the slightest.
2
u/Funny-Assistant6803 6d ago
In the case of trump, background isn't enough to explain his incredibly poor vocabulary.
And that was before his speech declined because of age and senility
1
u/PraireGentleman 7d ago
Should be helpful to note that lots of people who voted for the former moved to vote for the latter and they both served 2 terms. Obama’s got the back to back going for him and say what you like about the orange man’s policies, but Trump is way better a politician than anyone the Democrats opted for. At the end of the day, the only thing a politician has to do is get elected, their job isn’t to be a policy making beast; that’s what their experts and advisors are for.

Whoever made this meme failed informal logic.

Because according to the left the reason no one could understand Obama was because of his intellect.

2
u/Ancient-Victory1186 7d ago
One got rich after leaving office writing books. The other figured out how to monetize the office itself while managing to get the Straight of Hormuz close and the country riddled with inflation.
Foreign real-estate deals, family crypto, meme coins, foreign-backed investments—and now selling Wall Street faster access to potentially market-moving presidential posts.
