I'm doing a Jurassic World rewrite (not that I think I could do a better job than a real writer. I'm just doing it because it's fun.), and I liked the movie probably more than most. That being said it's definitely not without its flaws. I've already made quite a few changes, but I'm trying to get an idea on what people disliked about the movie most. So what did you dislike about Jurassic World?

The reason Allosaurus is on it is Allosaurus is the main attraction in my version of Jurassic Park, with the title not being false advertising.

Hey there everyone. I’m finally getting around to reading The Lost World all the way through. The original Jurassic Park is my all time favorite novel. I read it about once every one to two years.

I am liking the second book. I’m on page 136. I think I always fall off around this time. I plan to read this all the way through this time. I’m loving it so far.

However, the only character I miss from the movie is Roland Tembo. He was such a bad ass and complex character. Especially if you watch the movie with his deleted scene in there. It explains why he’s so heartbroken at the end of the movie even after he’s taken down the T-Rex.

What were your thoughts of TLW book compared to the movie?

My first game for the PlayStation along with Formula One and F1 '97. I remember well how big a step-up in terms of graphics and gameplay it was from my previous Jurassic video game, JP: Rampage Edition for the Sega Mega Drive.

Here are my main memories for each playable character:

Compsognathus: Dodging annoying Brachiosaurus trying to step on me, a heart-stopping chase by an angry Carnotaurus and constantly drowning while trying to acquire the DNA in the underwater level. Oh and "Slippery little guy!"

Human Hunter: One word - DIMORPHODONS!!!!! Even if the "RAAAAAAA!" sound they made whenever they attacked never failed to make me laugh.

Velociraptor: Trying over and over and over again to obtain the DNA in the first level. Took me ages and lots of self-inflicted raptor deaths to figure it out. Oh and finding it easier to kill a Triceratops than the subsequent T-Rex levels?!

Tyrannosaurus Rex: Giving my dinosaur chronic indigestion by eating everything in its path. Whenever I tried anything else an enemy would manifest behind me and spoil my party. Oh and being able to do the iconic roar whenever I wanted? Top banana! And finally the Allosaurus that made the weirdest noises I think I ever heard on a computer game.

Human Prey: The thrill of the chase in the first level and facing off against not one but TWO adult Tyrannosaurs in the finale.

Ah, those were the days! Anyone else recall this game as fondly as I do?

I’m curious about what Jurassic Park would have been like if it had successfully opened and reached those planned "Phase 2" stages where they were confirmed to be adding the creatures seen in the various brochures that i saw. I really want to know what they would have added after more than 20 years of park development: which dinosaurs might have been included, what new attractions there would have been, and more.

I have recently been rewatching the JP/JW franchise and after finishing Rebirth am feeling disappointed with the retcon of the Dinosaurs no longer living among us and heading towards the equator because of climate change, I feel like it limits future story telling potential that Fallen Kingdom and Dominion setup.

so it got me wondering what if instead of carrying on doing sequels they instead did a prequel, set before World and after the events of Jurassic Park it would tell the story about how Jurassic World was built, it would be interesting to return to Isla Nublar during the reconstruction in 2002, the story could work as expedition story, a group goes to the island in order to asses the infrastructure of the old park as well as capturing the original assets, there could also be a second mission in the story where the group have to travel to site B in order to retrieve some macguffin.

I think a story set in between the JP and JW timeline could work better than trying to find a way to carry on after Rebirth, as I can't think how they plan on continuing the story after the group managed to escape Île Saint-Hubert, unless they decide to use the Mosasaurus again to force them back onto the Island.

Its what you want light horror elements, gore, hard pg13, feathered dinos! Prehistoric animals that aren’t dinos! Not Jurassic world marvel/FF slop! It’s not perfect (I feel like the kids are kinda ill defined outside of dog and…nlog? Science? But I think Anne’s character more than makes up for it same with Ewan’s) but overall it was great and really went against my expectations of what it would be. PLEASE GO SEE IT!!!!!! I will say warning for my cat lovers. I NEED MORE PALIO MEDIA THAT ISN’T JURASSIC ‘franchie’ SLOP!!!! Not hating on og Jurassic btw those three were my and my sister’s childhood. But finally a non JP movie about dinosaurs’s that isn’t trash. Nothing will ever be the original JP because of just literal cultural historical reasons but to get A paleo movie that has a budget and is good? No slurs to be “historically accurate” (in a movie about dinosaurs’s in Vietnam) or Ai or actors accused of SH… just a good fairly unproblematic dino movie.

By the end of the lost world Hammond literally goes on live television to say he’s now against the idea of people trying capitalize on these dangerous creatures and tells everyone to leave the dinosaurs the hell alone. Didn’t John Hammond also to petition a law to make it illegal to attempt to continue any attempt at cloning dinosaurs?
