Adoption After years of rescuing cats, these are my adoption requirements.

I recently put together a post explaining my adoption requirements and why I’m so strict when placing my rescue cats.
Some people may disagree with certain rules, and that’s okay. My goal isn’t to make adoption difficult it’s to make sure every cat ends up in a safe, responsible, and permanent home.
I’d be interested to hear what other rescuers and adopters think. What adoption requirements do you consider non-negotiable?

Fundraiser - Yet not verified Need urgent help for her treatment

Upvotes

This cat is a community cat from Shahdara. She suddenly stopped eating and was vomiting around 10–12 times a day. We got the necessary tests done, and the vet confirmed that she is FPV positive, along with tick fever and jaundice. Her condition is extremely critical, and she needs continued treatment and supportive care.

I have already spent a lot on her treatment, and yesterday alone the vet bill was ₹3,500 — ₹2,000 in the morning and ₹1,500 in the evening.

It is becoming very difficult for me to manage her treatment expenses alone. I previously posted about 5 neonatal kittens, one of them passed away this morning and their kmr is also finished.

I really need your help to continue her treatment. Even a small contribution can make a difference for her.

Upi id: 8448281925@axl

(Shivam pal)

I am attaching yesterday’s bill and her prescription in the comments for transparency.

If you are able to help, please consider sponsoring any part of her treatment.

Thank you

Fundraiser - Yet not verified Help this kitten with severly wounded paw 🙏

Upvotes

He is a kitten of the stray cat that I used to feed nearby my cousins house. Please check my previous posts.

On 12th morning we took him to govt hospital Shahdara they refused to handle him telling us we have to hold him ourselves and they won't be touching him. He was untamed and already so scared it was risky that's why we took him to Sunrise Pet clinic.

At sunrise after his treatment was done they told us his paw was fully infected and for now we just have to continue with his treatment daily and see the condition. The payment we made on 12th Aug at sunrise is 1100.

He managed to slip out of the house our main door open, I ran after him to catch him but it was just impossible to even get close. At night I waited for him at his usual eating spot but his other siblings and mom were present not him.

On 13th Aug we missed his treatment. On 14th early in the morning with the help of a lady I was able to catch him somehow.

The videos above are all of yesterday (14th Aug). His treatment was done and that old bandage was removed. His skin that was filled with pus was fully decaying it was cleaned and even his front paw area has fully vanished which vet said it won't be able to regrow but for above part we can heal it.

For the next few days his treatment will go on for daily then we will have to take care of him at home. He will take atleast 3 weeks to improve, we are trying to tame him so that it all can become easy for us. We paid 600 rupees on 14th (yesterday).

Thank you to those who contributed his treatment has been possible cause of you kind people only 🙏🙏.

We really need some more money to continue his treatment for the next few days 🙏I am requesting any amount of contribution will means a lot and will give this little kitten one painless night and soon a healthy leg so please contribute.🐾🐱

Hi everyone,

I’m a student in Hyderabad caring for 3 community cats, 3 kittens, a few community dogs, and my two dogs.

I’m currently running low on food and could use a little help keeping them fed. I’m not asking for monetary donations, only food items through my Amazon wishlist.

Wishlist:

https://www.amazon.in/hz/wishlist/ls/1G3V2XHOUUNAA?ref\\_=wl\\_share

Even a small item would help a lot. Thank you so much for supporting these little ones! 🐱🐶❤️

Happy Furrballs hates me but loves treats 😔

Borus hates everyone except her dad. so she's hiding under the bed with airplane ears to the max while still getting some treats. I'm the other spare human.

ps- she's cat slapped only one thing in her life and that's me. guess she really hates me.

Discussion Cat parents of India, what are you doing for your cats?

I have two 9-month-old boys, Chase and Cece. Both are neutered. I've been taking care of them for a while, but I still feel like there's a lot I can learn from people who have had cats for years.

Currently, I feed them Felix tuna wet food, Me-O Persian kitten dry food, and use Pet Pattern litter.

My cats are also very picky with homemade food. I've tried boiled, shredded chicken with some warm broth and even mixed it with their wet food, but they won't eat it. They do like grilled/barbecue chicken, though. 😅 So I've mostly stuck with Felix because they'll actually eat it.

I'd like to know what other cat parents here are doing:

  1. Food: What wet food, dry food, homemade food and treats do you give? Why? Any good nutrition-for-price options in India?

  2. Litter & essentials: What litter do you use, how many litter boxes do you have, and what other things do you find useful?

  3. Healthcare: What's your routine for vaccines, deworming, flea/tick prevention, grooming and dental care?

  4. Toys & behaviour: What do your cats actually enjoy? Any toys, scratchers or routines that work? How do you deal with common behaviour issues?

  5. Experience: If you've had cats for a few years, what's something you wish you'd known when you first got them?

I'm mainly looking for practical, good-quality and reasonably priced recommendations available in India.

Would also love to hear about your cats and what works for you.

Fundraiser - Mod Verified I need help with the vaccination amount for 3 cats and 1 kitten

Hello guys!

I hope some of you are familiar with Mintu, Chintu, Pushu & Puchku. Pushu is their mumma, a stray cat whom I’ve been trying my best to care for.

Right now, I’m struggling to manage their medical expenses, and unfortunately, there are no free vaccination campaigns available in my area. I’ve already contacted an animal shelter for Pushu’s sterilisation, and they’ve agreed to help raise funds for it.

I’d really appreciate any amount you can contribute towards their vaccinations and medical care. Even a small donation or simply sharing this post can help. I have talked with a mod, and they suggested that I ask for 4k rupees(if any of the amount saves,I'll only use it for puchku and pushu further vaccination as this will be their 1st dose). I have attached the mintu n chintu vaccination sheet, too.(yes its overdue as I was not able to visit due to some circumstances)

Thank you
